I believe the year of the starter in post 14 (and mine) looks to be from a 2000 dakota. I see a plug offered in mopar electrical 05017122AA. Lists for over 30.00. I can get a whole used starter and harness for less than this so that's the route I'm taking.

I don't think I'm lucky enough to have that particular starter. The plastic housing appears to be moulded to the solenoid and contains a single miniature male spade terminal. Exactly like the one pictures in post #14 / page 1. I've got a crushed female spade terminal ATM and it is losing it...

I have the same starter and need this connector as my wire falls off and you can imagine what a pain in the hole that is. Anyone find the Chrysler P/N or lead me to a year / model to look up online?

My engine has been torn down previously (built 415 not by me) that I am reassembling now and it has no plugs in the block, no bolt with through hole and no oil slinger. Seems like 3 strikes to me. Should I tear down my 340 and rob the oil slinger at least out of it? It does have the drip...

If this is true then I can go down (or up) in weight a fair amount. The Scats are a possibility, less than 2% change. Using 10% I could go up as high as 665 gram weight, that seems allot!

Did you bypass the ballast resistor and put a new coil in with the HEI Unit?

If you can remove the manifold and have exposed stud remaining, I've had good luck with heating the stud and shocking with water, if it won't come out with vise grips in the first place. If there isn't anything to grab onto then the other methods noted above will work. It can be done on the...
