    Drum to Disc Swap

Man this is expensive, I hope I can make a few bucks on the Duster parts. Dartnut it was your previous post on the conversion that got me thinking. It makes sense, same dimensions just some differences and a bit newer. Plus I was thinking about going back to power steering. It will be more...

    15x8 Magnums on a 68 Dart

I am going with 235/60/15 Radial TA's. The stock magnums are set about in the center, so a 4"+- backspace. White letters out??

    Drum to Disc Swap

I bought a donor car last week (75 Duster) and I started the teardown yesterday. Of course I beat the heck out of the lower ball joint and the upper will be replaced as well. I plan to use the upper control arms, spindles, rotors, calipers, and disc's with new parts as needed. A member comment...

    50 or 60 series tires?

Really cool convertible. Not many out there. I'm not getting any action on my post. Maybe my donor car has some Duster fans angry. With your 4.5" backspace I assume that stock 15x8 Magnums will not work on my 68. I'll go by a tire store and see.

    15x8 Magnums on a 68 Dart

I picked up my parts car (75 Duster) yesterday for 5x4.5 disc change and 8 1/4 rear. Has anyone run 15x8 60's without rolling fenders or other mods? What size and brand tire are best (a good price is important). I would prefer the same size tire for rotation. The rims are not perfect and I...

    No Juice to Anything

Thanks, You guys are terrific as always. The link was burnt and I was able to replace without too much trouble (I did buy two). I had to use the old clip connector, there was nothing close at Napa. It is part of a larger problem. When I first got her going the bulkhead was fried at the...

    No Juice to Anything

The Dart just went dead pulling into a lot. Too dark to check it out but there is no power to anything. The soleniond will jump and crank but no fire. I tossed a new ballast resistor (glove box) in but no help. Kind of a pop then electric smell and dead. Electronic ign looked ok, no fried wires...

Ready to get started ............ again

Hi All, I joined a couple of years ago when I first started on my Dart but health problems have delayed my project. You gotta be pretty sick not to work on a car! I'm 18 months cancer free and feeling much better. A friend "gave" me the car in December 08. He had a derelict son in law that had...

    Fried Bulkhead

This is a newer project for me. I have two black wires at the alternater (along with the field wires). One goes through the firewall and connects at the fuse box. The other (original) wire goes to the bulkhead. I traced it back and the wire looks good but, you guessed it, the bulkhead is fried...

    Fuel Pump Placement

I am installing an electric fuel pump in my 68 Dart. Where should I place it? Rear near the tank someplace. Do you tie it into the exesting 5/16 line or run some larger braided line? Any help is appreciated.

    Steering Column Help

I'm not going to mess with it. The power shaft in the car is intact. I'm just going with the adapter or maybe a tilt shaft. c

    Steering Column Help

Could drill and pin the shaft. I guess the Firm Feel adapter at $125 is the way to go. Thanks, c

    Steering Column Help

I'm going from power to manual in my 68 Dart. I have floor shift and dash ignition. I have the manual gear in and in tearing apart the manual column (its a column shift/ign) I notice that the shaft is two pieces that slide. Is the power column/shaft also two pieces? Why not just slide it down...
