    Brake Hoses

I am planning on replacing the front brake hoses on my 71 Duster with a 73 disc brake conversion kit with steel braided hoses. Would anyone happen to know what size fittings are on the ends? The ones I am looking at are Russell and I think the correct ones would be with a 10mm banjo fitting but...

    Longer Hoses

I have a 71 Duster that has been converted to73 disc brakes and was wondering if anyone knew of a brake hose that was longer than the 73. Problem is (and I don't know if it's a problem when the vehicle is on the ground) when I have it jacked up, wheels off, the hose is maxed out when the wheel...

    Yet Another Bleeding Problem...

I have a 71 Duster that I'm having trouble getting a firm pedal on. Most everything is new (calipers, wheel cylinders, master, hoses, distribution block) and with a pressure bleeder, I am able to get a steady stream of fluid at all wheels. I bled the master before hand, but the pedal is still...

    Wheel Cylinder Size

Easy question...what's the id of a wheel cylinder for rear 10" drums? I'm planning a rebuild and want to know what size hone to buy. I think they're 15/16" but I'm not sure. Thanks.

    Proportioning Valve?

I have a 71 Duster that has been converted to 73 front disc brakes. My question is should a proportioning valve be installed to get proper brake pressures to the front and rear? From the looks of it, the previous owner never did. All I found was the brake light warning switch that illuminates...

    Soft Pedal

I have a 71 Duster that has a soft pedal that I can't seem to fix. When I purchased it, it had been converted to 73 disc brakes. I have, since then, replaced the front calipers, rear wheel cylinders, front brake hoses, and master cylinder. I bench bled the master and pressure bled the entire...

    MC Pushrod

I have a 71 Duster with manual brakes that has been converted to front disc brakes from a 73 Duster. I am in the process of replacing the master cylinder and noticed on the old one the pedal pushrod is connected to the master, but on the new one it is not. I ordered a master for a 73 Duster with...

    Brake Swap Master Cylinder

If converting 71 Duster front drum brakes to 73 disc, does the master cylinder need to be swapped too? Thanks.

    Parking Brake Cable Problems

Will 11 rear drums on a 71 Duster cause problems with the parking brake cable? When I adjust the equalizer, the left rear cable applies about 3/4 of an inch before the right rear. Thanks for any help.

    11 Inch Rear Drums?

I have a 71 Duster 225 slant six with a 73-76 front disc brake disc conversion and the rear has been converted to the large bolt pattern. I was under the impression that the rear drums would either be 9 or 10 inch, but upon inspection it turns out they are 11 x 2 1/2. My question is what vehicle...

    Brakes ID

I have a 71 Duster that has been converted to front disc brakes (5x4.5 bolt circle) and was told that it was from a 73 Duster. How can I verify this and what parts would have been changed out for the conversion (steering knuckle, control arms, brake hoses, etc)? Thanks.
