    318 Build? Help!

410 lbs-ft ain't impossible it's 1.29 lbs-ft per cid which is kind of on the high side for that level of a build 370-390 lbs-ft is a more likely number (1.16-1.23 tq:cid). Main problem I see with that desktop dyno prediction is what's happing after 4500 rpms highly doubt gonna carry the...

    A-body 8-3/4 drums

The flanged 10" rear drums started in 1970, and were the same ones used on a 7 1/4 too. They interchange with the non-flanged ones used on the '69 and earlier cars. the flanged ones just had a bit more cooling capacity.

    318 Build? Help!

Well, it's just desktop dyno 5, I believe and I know it's within 8-12% accuracy. I think it will make that much because it's going to spin to 7000+, and surprisingly the speedmasters flow exceptionally well for what they are. But pertaining to this thread; even if it does not make the...

    Complete and utter disassembly

I did that several times. It took me about a week (a full 7 days) to do one car using a spot weld cutter (actually several of them). Start with all the unbolt parts. Then top to bottom as the car is on jack stands. Keep the drill speed low, drill bit sharp, and use plenty of cutting oil. I still...

    Lost one of my dogs

So very sorry for the loss of your fur buddy. I know all too well the pain that comes with it. We are so blessed to have the unconditional love of our animal companions, sadly it is always too short. You gave him a loving home, and companions, and cared for him until his time was done. He has...

Looking for correct bulbs for 1965 Plymouth Valiant 200 for Instrument Cluster

I replaced the two cluster lighting bulbs in my 64 with ZEVO LEDs about four years ago. They don't dim, but I don't care. I can actually SEE my gauges at night. Nothing melted in all that time so I think I'm good. lol Also, sometimes you cannot use LEDs in the turn signal indicators.

Sorry, but there is no way in hell a 9.7:1 318 with 170cc heads and a 216/220 cam will make anywhere near that power and torque. What program is that?

Project Cheap & Nasty Updated With Back Story

Not a thing. It's about three years old. It still runs great. I want to get my feet wet with a turbo motor, because I want to build something more substantial. I figure a cheap and nasty stone stock build with good used parts and little cash outlay would be the way to go.
