Double roller chain. Being a Chrysler authorised reman it is likely not a top name timing set, but I do not think another 100k miles will wear that timing set much more. My concern would be the cam and lifters being used with modern oils that do not protect the cam and lifters from premature wear.

The tensioners were designed for 3.9 v6 engines that had chain rattle issues. From what I have seen, the stock timing set was steel gears and a standard chain. You don't need a tensioner with a good quality double roller. The nylon rubbing blocks on the tensioners are too narrow and not designed...

I was thinking that chain when spinning in the proper direction the slack is on the left side or back side like when you measure it shouldn't effect much at all its sorta like the drive/coast side of rear gears one side id driving the other side isn't in the chain it when the chain stretches so...

A roller 318 can go several hundred thousand miles. If the timing chain has been replaced, which is probably a good bet considering everything that's been swapped over, you're golden.

ive used a couple magnum 5.9s. An LA 360 car pan works. I used an LA timing set. I did use the magnum accessories to get the serp belt set up and higher amperage alternator.I used la headers on magnum heads and magnum headers on la heads. no leaks.
