Well, I guess I will need a new cam and lifters. I pulled the intake off today to mill for more clearance for the valve covers and it appears that I have a bad lobe and another starting to wear. Brand new Comp cam and brand-new Bam bushed lifters.

Pretty much what has occurred on mine. No rhyme or reason from what I can see. The auto parts store made good on them, this set seems to be OK. I'm moving forward.

Not sure what you mean? What I'm saying(or trying to) was he checked every 90* which is 8 "turns" (8x90=720*= 2 complete crank revolutions). I've always done it this way for solids without any issues.
