can this fit in a b body with a big block does anybody know hp rating on these trans

i have 72 duster not original 8 3/4 i have 489 case that was in car but i was going to put 742 case but the bolt pattern is different. i am nuts or just working to late into night gasket fits on 742 case but not on housing. holes are off i tried every different way. HELP
