This is my post above. What kind of job is it to remove the dashboard? Does the windshield need to be removed? I'm hoping to find a good replacement, if not I'll have to cut and patch.

I have a 63 Valiant Signet 200 Convertible and the dashboard pan is rusted by the drives side. Besides the heat control's, what is the difference from 63 to 64? I have push button shift.

I'll try to get the air bubble out but I thought that the carb would such the air out. The filter is at a 45 degree angle. Do you think that it's sucking air maybe? Idle is fine but when I accelerate it sounds like I have a fancy cam in it.

My distributer cap at the top is about a half inch from the inner fender, passenger side. It seems a little too close for me or is this correct? Is there a way of tilting it towards the driver side just a little? And another thing, I have a new single barrel carb and a new fuel pump. The tank...

I switched mine to the pertronix system and it runs fantastic.

I have a 1963 Slant 6/ 904 w/ torque converter B body Trans from a Dodge 500 that I will give away If you transport it, I bought it with a /6 that I am using. It was a package deal, the tranny worked great when I bought it 5 yrs ago. It's too long for my 63 Valiant.

I still think that I might want to find that side of the dash and just splice in a better section.

So it looks like the windshield out is a better choice. I think I'll have a glass company remove it, polish it while I fix the dash. Then they can reinstall it with a new seal.

Can the dash be removed without removing the windshield? What is the best way? I need to repair a rust hole. Maybe somebody has that side to sell, please let me know.

WOW that's bad! The inside piece will be easy but the out side will be the challenge.

I'd rather fix bad spots unless it's too bad.

Nice Work! I'm doing the same with my 63 Valiant, I'd rather fix my original panels than buy used. But sometimes you have to buy used or new. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see more.
