so working with a totally stock 1975 2 318. There's two options for the carb. 2 bbl. Which consists of a 360 cast iron 2bbl manifold and a 2 barrel carb from a 68 383, so considerably bigger than a regular 318 2 barrel. OR carb and manifold from a 75 360 which is a 4 barrel thermoquad...

So, I now have a 68 318 and a 68 225 that both let off a good sized cloud of smoke every startup. What is likely the cause. Both are absolutley original, I would bet the 318 has never been apart. Runs great otherwise and it won't smoke other than just the startup.
