depressed, found out what the problem is with my engine supports. I didn't have the brackets and found some on Ebay quite a while ago. The ones I bought are from a '72 Plymouth valiant. So I need to find at least the drivers side bracket, the picture in the pretty red is the mount I need I...

Help! I got the cheapy carburetor today, looks cheap and am not going to use it, sending it back to Amazon tomorrow. This is the carburetor on the two barrel manifold when I got it. It's a Carter 0-2543, I don't know if it's what it came with. I'm thinking to put a kit in it, clean it up and see...

I remember back in '70 when I inherited my 66 Plymouth Valiant, the fuel line going over the valve cover,(have no idea why I remember that) I think it was pure laziness running it that way looking back. I'll take precautions to prevent exposure to heat from the E manifold. I can always change it...

Well, have to have fuel ~ the cover on the hose is temporary, just makes it look neat. I'll put some small brackets in the mix. I may have to change it all up when the alternator is here, but, meh, good experience playing the fuel line. Fuel filter will go before the pump in my case. I...

It would have wound up in the trash, so I hope this helps keep the engine a little cleaner when adjusting valves. Even the cut piece makes a good cover;)

OMG, the cool front came through and it's glorious here! I'm not sure what the ballast resistor came out, suppose it will work. Got the radiator to fit my stand, ordered a carburetor, spark plug wires, hm, Does this system use a starter solenoid? like on a fender? All the others were easy for my...

Hey! ;) IT will definitely be mounted on the drivers side, just above the power steering pump. As I have seen in my dreams, the bracketry will be coming off of the solid mounted power steering pump bracket, not the pivoting part of course, the stationary. As for a stock one, just seems like...

Well, found out we're not leaving until next Tuesday! but have the entire family here Friday through Sunday. In the meantime, working on some things, put the Dart back on the rotisserie, had to lower the back end of the engine on the ERS as it was not level to the carburetor, then put the...

Thank you for that picture! :thankyou: If the alternator I ordered won't make the cut, I'll take a closer look at your alternator;)

I had to unweld one of the pivot tabs, compressor was just a tad off. So, unweld, reweld a couple times, then I have a new adjustment are coming. But I can breathe now. If I can get the alternator in, get a carburetor, it shouldn't be long before I fire the engine, however going out of town...

Thanks JD, I'd appreciate you taking a look, in the meantime, I was kind of interested in this one, but don't know much about 1 wire alts. But the size is nice;) https://www.amazon.com/27060-78001-27060-78001-71-100211-1660-100211-1661-100211-1662/dp/B079YBKNHZ/?tag=fabo03-20

Winding up easier than I thought fabricating the AC bracket, a few minor adjustments, weld it completely, make the adjustment rod, clean up the bracket, make it look like it belongs there;) and then order an Alternator of sorts, must be relatively small;) Hardest part was going through my drill...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Once I establish where I want the compressor, I'll just have to take critical measurements once the engine it back on the ERS (engine run stand) to start the mocking process. The rough location I have here is looking pretty good, I'll use the two lower old alternator bracket holes for the lower...

And also just arrived is my Mini me AC compressor, same one I have in my Triumph TR/mx, only this one it black, just have to make it fit, which I will;) I may or may not use the existing alternator bracket. Now for a small alternator for the other side of the engine~ this is fun!

Hey Glen;) I've ordered new engine mounts and a transmission mount. I guess I had ordered the wrong motor mounts a while back, hopefully the new ones may raise it a bit, I hope. this pic?

no, it went right in the hole, maybe some fine adjustments along the way, but I'm not putting those linkage retainers in until it's time, those things are a pain to remove.
