I started to hook the driveshaft, 7260 U Joint, and the yoke didn't have any straps so I went looking. However... the yoke takes U-Bolts. I purchased some Dorman U-Bolts (81002)...

Can anyone tell me what is the distance I need to shorten my driveshaft for this rear end swap? I saw the driveshaft chart and it looks like it right around 2 inches. Any info is appreciated.

I picked up an OD front case and extension housing this weekend. I know the case is different from the cast iron, but my question is: can a regular cast iron gearset be swapped into the aluminum case without any special parts? I guess I am worried about the countershaft and the bearing retainer...
