    360 runs strange, lifters??

Interesting… I have a similar issue on the 5.9 in my Barracuda. I am pretty sure it is due to collapsing lifters when revving past 4500 then decelerating. In my case it is my fault because I did the pushrod measurements wrong before ordering new Smith Bros. Pushrods…urgh…. So I used the stock...

71 72 DODGE DEMON TITLE QUESTION

Would depend on how selling dealer filled out the title application . Here in Idaho Titles are generated off of the MSO ( manufacturers statement of origin ) and the title application which is filled out by the business office . Depends how lazy or bright the guy inputting the data is . Back...

    Reusing 195k lifters?

Magnum lifters are pretty cheap . Way cheaper than possible damage if they go south . I would replace them .

Roadkill and other Motortrend shows are cancelled.

Not surprising they were that much in debt . How could they possibly pay the nut on so many niche shows ? I would only watch Engine Masters , Road Kill and Finnegan . On occasion I would watch the one with the Mexican interior guys . No interest in watching semi hot girls with their tits...

Anyone try the Edelbrock VRS-4250 Carb yet?

There are many excellent Holley knock offs . Why do so many people disparage this one ? Has there been issues with them ? I really like the features they added . If I needed a new carb the VRS would be my choice .

Duster Breaks FAST Small Block Record

The FAST class cars are hooking due to suspension setup / weight distribution/ cam grinds that push the power into higher rpms and softer low ends / timing tricks / tire shaving and many tricks I haven’t even thought of . Pretty impressive builds!

    70 dart 340 4spd inspection

340 4 sp cars should have torque boxes front and rear ( although some slipped through with only rears) , HD springs , HD torsion bars , sway bar , front discs , HD clutch pedal , HD K-member w/ coin, bigger radiator , 3.23 or 3.55 gears . Look thru this The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1970 Dodge...

1971 Duster 340 10" front drum brakes - what other Mopar brake drum hubs will fit?

Are you wanting to stay with the 4.5x5 bolt pattern ? What is your driving like ? Mild , spirited or maniacal ? I have 4 wheel discs on my 68 Barracuda and manual drums on my 69 340 Swinger . I realized I don’t drive like an idiot and the drums work fine . But I used a smaller bore master...

Duster Breaks FAST Small Block Record

Not that I have had any blazing fast cars but I have always (since the 80s) built my cars in FAST fashion . My 408 W2 Swinger might hit the 10’s but it has headers and a Victor intake . I think the key to hooking with bias ply's is weight transfer , loose front suspension, semi loose rear ...

Duster Breaks FAST Small Block Record

My 73 340 4sp Dart Sport ran high 12 in FAST form and I drove it from Idaho to Brainard MN and back . The key to success is in picking a platform that came from the factory with wide tires , good intake / carbs , light weight , decent exhaust manifolds etc . Corvettes kick *** because of...

Seeking advice on how to extract broken lug bolts

in your case this may have been a Lefty Tighty application…. Lol You could have a pilot hub made in which the nose fits inside the lug hole to keep it centered and a pilot hole in the center of that to guide a left hand bit and keep it from walking towards the threads .

Seeking advice on how to extract broken lug bolts

Ive done this to extract a broken shift lever screw on my KTM . I had a pilot hub machined to keep it centered . That bolt is identical to the hub caps on my 1993 Mazda b2600i 4x4. Which leads me to believe it is a widely used fastener for hubs .

    Dodge Dart Lite

Looks to be R4 red. All Dart Lites and Feather Dusters were 833 O.Ds I believe. Cool project ! I think if built and tuned correctly 30+ mpg is attainable.
