    Convertible Drain Tubes?

Getting ready for a road trip. My plastic rear window was so cloudy I unzipped a few months ago. Now it shrunk or something and I can't get it zipped back up. So now I'm thinking I better put things drain tubes in the correct place. Where do they fit? Thank you.

Removing Rear Seat Cushions After Hurricane "Norma"

I removed the lower cushion successfully using the normal procedure: push like hell toward the rear and lift at the same time. But on the '65 convertible models, how does one remove the backrest seat cushion? Thank you. (trying to dry things out after the wind/rain hit here a couple of days ago).

Rear Window Fogged (unrestored '65 Signet Convertible)

What happens if I try to "unzip" the rear window? Will it lower so I can restore some rear visibility again? I have never tried it in the ten years or more I have owned the vehicle. Thank you.

What's the Latest in Temporary Repairs for Torn/Ripped Top?

This regards a '65 Signet convertible. The first repair was to a section about 3-4 inches long. I had an upholsterer "sew" it closed and I glued on some kind of patch over that. Well, the stitches for some reason fell out or rotted and I peeled off the half-*** glued-on patch. Now the damage has...

Door Latches: '65 Convertible Vs Non-Convertible

I don't remember my '65 Barracuda Formula S having a sliding alignment tab inside the door latch, I thought it was fixed in place. Unless it was stuck/frozen. My question is this, is the sliding tab from a '65 Signet Convertible (shown in the three progressive photos below) a specific...

Any Videos Out There Showing How To (and not to) put Top Up/Down?

I tore a hole in the convertible top of my '65 Plymouth Signet. I don't know how it happened exactly. However, I believe there is some trick to folding the interior padding so it does not get caught on the scissors parts of the trellis. It would be wonderful to see how someone raises and lowers...

Are These Door Stops Convertible Items Only?

The fotos are taken of a '65 Valiant Signet Convertible. I don't remember seeing these "extra" door stops on my other '65 ABodies (non-convertibles). I am referring to the chrome "wedgies"and their accompanying spring-loaded rubber bumpers above the normal door latch. Thank you.

Practically Speaking, What is This Car Really Worth?

What would be a fair price in today's market (for both buyer and seller) for a vehicle like this nice '65 Valiant convertible. Obviously (for me) the asking price of $19,995 is a little high. Maybe someone here has sold a similar car in the recent past? Thank you...

    Patching a convertible top?

I just had my top sewed where it had torn and now I need to place a patch on top. Found some vinyl patch and glue at ACE hardware that is advertised for pool liners and other vinyl stuff. Is there another type of patch material I should find or just go with the ACE hardware product? P.S. I glued...

What does the owners manual say about lowering a 1965 Valiant convetible top?

I never unzip the plastic window, and was wondering what the factory had to say about raising and lowering the top. Thank you to anyone who has an original owners manual and can quote for me exactly what is recommended.

When does one unzip the window?

I have a 1965 Plymouth Valiant Signet with a manually operated convertible top. Never really had any training on how to lower/raise it. My question concerns the plastic zippered rear window, is it supposed to be unzipped before lowering the top? I just leave it in place, it's a little hard to...

Anyone installed a simple roll bar for frame stiffening/safety in their convertible?

It seems a good-looking padded, conventional loop roll bar in a Valiant convertible would help with strength, safety, and a more custom look. Anyone doing this?

Are passenger side outside mirrors standard or optional on '65 Signet Convertible?

My '65 Barracuda only has an outside mirror on the driver's side and my '65 Signet convertible has mirrors on both left and right side. I was wondering if all convertibles came with two mirrors, possibly because the rear plastic window always seems a little cloudy?

    Dual rear radio antennas

My 1965 Valiant Signet convertible (273 2 barrel auto) has holes for two rear antennas on both sides of the rear window. Does anyone know if that was a factory installation or aftermarket? Thank you. (no build sheet).
