Why don't you just get a hemi, you know you want one and you have a good start on the parts. Get a couple of springs a screw and some wire and there ya go. Maybe some of those fake hemi valve covers that you see on sbc's, if you can get 'em for a song.

Most people I know pad their roll bars. When I take somebody for a ride I don,t beat on the car per say, just a little tire spin action, hell I hardly break 40 mph. But I also have a #'s matching Challenger for longer/ farther/ faster trips.

My second '69 Dart had a junk 426 wedge in it when I got it, but was bolted to a big block k-frame. Well I had this Hemi that was goin' in with elephant ears, so I just lopped off the motor mounts. Not a problem. Wasn't 'tll quite a few years latter that I realized how stupid that was.
