Spare tire combo for early A. BBP 73-76 disk

I am using 2002 lincoln town car aluminum donut spares. Its a 25" diameter tire on a 16" rim which is great because it matches the 25" diameter tires going on the car, especially with the limited slip. Tires on the car are 225/60R15. This wheel has the same bolt pattern as BBP mopar. Its...

To me a 50 year old car is a 50 year old car. I have plenty of cars to go on a 1000 mile hike with. A/C, cruise, CD player, that dont involve...

    Barracuda spare tire

So when I got home from work today I checked my space saver tire on the front desk’s and it fits absolutely no problem So I double checked my spare fitting the front discs and for whatever reason I didn’t have a problem with mine. It fit perfectly. My discs are the ‘73 and up swap.

Spare tire, space saver donut options?

Any body out there tried using a later model space saver spare wheel set up in their A-body? I'm switching to 4.5" bolt pattern and rather than looking for a correct spare thought a cheap modern spare would also take less space, and weigh less, and sometimes people just throw them out down here...

Looking for some suggestions Guys and Gals.. I need a spare tire for ole Supercuda. I am considering a space saver spare (donut ) from a Ford Escape as it is the correct bolt pattern and is 24" in diameter with a 16" wheel. I want the spare to be able to be stored in the trunk well and still...

    OMG look at her trunk!

...as I get done with color sanding, I’ll be doing a package tray and trunk kit similar to this. They will be wrapped in leather that I’ve used in the interior of the car. I’m still researching a donut spare that will fit under the floor panel, cause I want to have that peace of mind. Haha...

Grabbed a second donut spare off a last gen RWD town car since i need 2 of these. One for each car. This one was never used either and its aluminum if your looking for weight reduction. I got a good measurement of both wheels. Actual tire width of these is about 5.5" , outer diameter is more...

A doughnut spare is what I put in my "coffee getter" silver HemiDuster. Like you, I want the ability to get "off the road" if I have a flat....front or rear. I think my doughnut came from a Ford. I have 2 battery boxes in my trunk.....one for the battery,..... one for a hydraulic bottle jack...

    1967 Dart GT Chonicals

I'm looking for a spare replacement myself for the same reason. I'm pretty sure a 16" spare from a Ford escape or the Mazda Tribute will work (24 " diameter) . Beautiful car BTW !! Great attention to detail and it shows!

    1967 Dart GT Chonicals

...have it moving along. I still have to put emblems and doors together. I have little engine bay things to do, but moving on from here, will be a better looking package tray and trunk inserts. If anyone has come across a donut spare that will work on the big axle pattern please let me know...

...but it raises my trunk mat up about 3/4 " This is just enough to create a ridge where the mat can tear. This is why I am considering a donut spare tire. May go with it anyway and build a raised platform in the trunk to compensate for the extra height. The Mat covers the whole trunk floor...

    8.8 swap

Also look for last gen lincoln town car, grand marquis, or crown vick donut spare. It has 5 bolt 4.5" lug circle BBP. 16" rim/tire. Dimensions are as follows 25" outer tire diameter, 5.5" width, and 14" inner rim diameter. This means it will clear the rear discs, and cordoba front big brakes, as...

    Spare Tire ?s

My GT is a '71. I was thinking that little donut spare came from a Neon or similar type car. I'd never trust/put a "5 bolt 100mm" wheel(s) on a 5 on 4" bolt circle vehicle. I'm looking for a single (1) 14" X 5 1/2" factory Rallye wheel (I have a WTB post) to use a spare, as I know the Rallye...

    Spare Tire ?s

...4" circle does approximate to 5 bolt 100mm. Meaning that it will most likely fit. That wheel and rim looks like a mopar FWD 5 bolt 100mm donut spare. I'd say thats better than nothing in a pinch, or a rim n tire that doesnt fit. Matter of fact i remember seeing a set of small bolt pattern...

Untighted wheel bolts I had a 4 day off liberty while stationed here on the east coast, just north of jacksonville, florida. I wanted some grace with my mechanic who was going to rewire my 1978 D300 crew cab, 360/NP?435? dually ($600). We talked, he loved and worked on those VW pickups which...

Spare tire, space saver donut options?

I converted my 68 cuda to 4.5 B.P. Of course it has the wheel well in the trunk floor. Keeping it all Mopar, I got a never used spare donut from a Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee from a bone yard for $10-15 and the trunk panel fits very nicely without being too high. I'm sure I tried it on my...

    Spare Tire ?s

I have researched the 100mm pattern to use an a 4inch pattern. Real close, BUT IMO not interchangeable. You can get them to fit, and bolt on,but the studs are deflected just a little, might be enough to break down the road. IMO.

    Spare Tire ?s

100mm = 3.937". That's not the same as 4". Yes, you can in fact mount a 5x100mm wheel on your 5x4" bolt pattern hubs. You can usually "get away" with it because Neon's and other 5x100 dodge vehicles use 12mm lug studs, with is .472", so the mounting holes on the wheel are oversize for a 7/16"...

67 cuda convertible spare tire problem

...with. This car has 14" tires now but I use a 185-80 X 13 for a spare and it fits fine. I've converted to BBP on my 68 Cuda and use a donut spare from a 90's Jeep Cherokee. Fits nicely without that unsightly bulge. Modern radials are so much better than the 60's tires and have not had to use...
