    Clearcoat Queston .

Ah, imron, that brings back memories... PPG sadly has always been an inferior paint, and clear coat for that matter. If you ever want to see a demonstration, buy code99 black PPG and put it next to Dupont or Spies, it's brown, vs. blue. While I don't use their clear, house of color makes a very...

    Clearcoat Queston .

I'm unfamilier with TremClad, but I use Majik from TSC and they sell a hardner that works with it. I think someone earlier posted a hardner that will work with TremClad. Now if you want to get creative, we used to take single stage, spray 2-3 coats of it and then spray clear mixed with single...

Yes, RMS did this to mine.

    Weight difference

I remember this now.. RMS had to use tapered ream on my spindles because they were the smaller balljoint, to work with the willwood kit he sold me back when I was using factory stuff with QA1 and Wilwood parts. I've since went to an AlterKtion.

Are they that weak? I can't say i've ever seen a spindle break. I ran them for years, on the street, on my big block car. He is using it in a race only application, which definitely changes things.

    Porting Edelbrock RPM air gap

Port match and blend it up from there. That is a pretty good intake, perhaps the best dual plane available. If you want something beyond a port match and blend, i'd be talking to an expert, like IQ52. He ported my intake. While he is retired, i'm sure he can answer your question.

    1/2" fuel sending unit

Put a filter before and after your fuel pump. You don't need a sock filter in the tank if you have that, and I wouldn't rely on one of them for that purpose anyhow.

    Diff gear recommendations

Gear Venders Overdrive It replaces the tailshaft of your transmission. My car didn't require any tunnel mods. They are rated for 2,000hp. You can set them to automatic, or control it manually. The manual option is great because you can also use 2nd gear plus overdrive through town, which for me...

    Diff gear recommendations

All of you need to be spoiled someday by running an OD transmission. You haven't lived until you've run 4.56 gears down the highway and only turn 2,500RPM @ 60mph.

If they provided tire spin, you need more traction, not less convertor. If you have a high quality, proper flash stall convertor, built for your engine, chassis and application, you won't even notice it's in there until you matt the go pedal.

    What’s it worth?

The engine compartment, yes. The trunk, not so much. My trunk is dynamatted with carpet over it. Even if it was body color, it looks like **** with the dynamat, so what difference does it make.

No, he uses those 2.125 fenderwell headers for all of the big block mopar stuff. They have EGT's in them, etc.

It had 2.125 fenderwell headers on it for those runs I'll see if I can find the actual dyno sheets.

I'm decided to avoid changing the rockers for that reason, as well as a few others. These heads are maxed out as far as they will go. I love dyno testing. I'll be posting the results and the nice thing is I already have a baseline for the existing combo pre-changes.

My Victor intake is deep ported and port matched to match the fully ported heads. Do they make a 1.7 rocker for a RB engine? I'm interested in the trick flow though. Maybe just a port match and see how it stacks up.

That will be checked when it's being worked on by my engine builder. I just don't have those specs at my disposal from the last time the engine was done. With the new Jesel, the plan is to check vtp clearance at 0, 2, 4 and -2, -4 and then so long as it's sufficient, do pulls at all of those...

what are you using for headers in your hemi A body?

I have a set of 2.125" TTI headers on my car. The car I picked them up with cost less than the headers, true story.

    Camshaft for 273

Never go by advertised RPM ranges, ever. Mine is 3500-8500, makes peak power at 5,900... If you don't understand basic camshaft tech, call and have a custom grind made for your specific needs / wants. Looking at a 273 engine, i'd be picking my cam in an attempt to overcome it's limitations...

My engine builder estimated i'd see 15 to 20 hp going to the 2.125 TTI headers from the 2". Sounds like he isn't far off.
