Hi! New here and have a question…

Welcome from Alaska. As far as your dilemma goes, more of the backstory is probably needed. IF someone is knowingly misrepresenting the credentials of a high dollar collectable Mopar, especially when it's changing hands, that is wrong and unethical. Do YOU have the responsibility to bring the...

    "Rodger That"

I still remember laughing when the original "Cops" TV series came out. I think they were in FL at the time. The dispatcher would receive some info from the patrols and say "que-sell". Sort of slurred, I took some time to realize they were using the Q signal "QSL" which means...

Rubber tip on the brake rod

So under $20 to have the right part shipped directly to your door from an American run business that’s been supporting Mopars for decades, no effort needed on your behalf beyond a couple clicks. Nope, that’s crazy! And we wonder why there aren’t more Mopar specific businesses making quality...

    My Luck

I have yet to figure out the damn light/ lighting switch on my 04 GMC. It's al Arabic / Bohemian/ Russian icons that mean nothing to me. One is a depiction of (I guess) a lamp sort of tilting down. I thought it was the cargo light. No, it's the fog lights up front. And I drove...

1990 360 engine, trying to retrofit it to use a mechanical fuel pump.

Hey there. A couple months back, I bought this: It is a 1990 360 from a van. It has a car oil pan and a few goodies already in place including the valve covers, Air Gap intake and this: As you can see, water went through it, maybe due to a bad head gasket or cracked heads. My question here...

Rubber tip on the brake rod

NOT needed for power brakes. The pushrod is captured inside the booster linkage. As far as manual, in theory an inferior "retainer" grommet could fail and allow the pushrod to pull rearward and slip out of the hole. Slipping out of the hole is rarely a good thing. I've never had that happen with...

Need some electrical help with my ‘68 Plymouth Valiant 100

I’ll be on the look out for that, but I have a question; would it be better to get disc brakes on it? I’m just trying to figure out how to go about this new brake problem. I don’t exactly have the money to buy the entire disc brake set because pretty sure it’s like $1000. I guess it would just...

Hi! New here and have a question…

…and pardon me, thank you very much for the kind welcome I’m here and hoping to be careful because I do love Mopars and just feel this isn’t right.

mostly "i'm hungry, feeds me!" and also: you did the brake lines wrong dingus. your prize is that you get to do them again. and then it ate all my cheez its and stole my flannel.

Who makes quality lower ball joints?

You’d have to change to a 67-72 centerlink to use the 67-72 idler, as well as a 67-72 pitman. And if you’ve got a large sector power steering box that would also require swapping to a small sector steering box. Not worth it.

Hi! New here and have a question…

I’m nervous about what to say. I guess it will say a lot to say that I lived with two cars that were retrieved from France. I was present for the discovery and joined the trip for recovery of the second. I think it’s safe to say that they are among the most valuable muscle cars there are. I do...

Hi! New here and have a question…

Yep, been quiet for thirty years. Now it's a multi-million dollar car, I don’t suppose the owner might be happy to know there were computers and a mill involved in it’s early recovery.

Rubber tip on the brake rod

Its no secret that shipping costs nowadays are pretty outrageous, but even with the inflated shipping, its really not that expensive, especially to get a part that was made to fit and function properly. I also need one of these for my brake changeover, and Ill be buying a proper one rather than...

    Bearing. For what?

Wow. Must be an auto guy? That’s not even vaguely in the ballpark for the proper dimensions for any pilot bushing/bearing for a small block, big block, hemi or 833.

    Magnum vs LA compatibility

Hey FABO techs, I was wondering on the part compatibility on magnum engines vs LA engines. I recently had a 340 block crack on me and now have a bunch of top end parts made specifically for an LA block. I’m contemplating if I should build a 340 based 416 Stroker or a 360 based 408 Stroker. 360s...
