    Can I switch over the oil pan+ pickup, mounts, acc, from the 318 to a 360 LA? Are there any differences in 360 LA, lers say foe example the MoHo 360? Wouldn't a 5.9 roller engine be better then?

What you should be finding out what cams are gonna suit your build and if they require you to do mods to run them piston to valve and or retainer clearance etc.. Then you could decide...

    1969 D100 Pickup Exhaust question

    1969 318 has the good 230 horsepower engine. 9.2:1 compression ratio. Adapt on a 4 barrel carb (Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm with electric choke) it will wake up that stock engine with the stock cam snd give it the fuel it needs to run. Will easily do more than 65 mph. ☆☆☆☆☆

    I didn't even have to think about a 360. My oem 318 was in good shape , just tired... so nothing a freshup can't fix. As you said IF the 318 would have been trash I would have gotten a MAGNUM 5.9 just because of the heads and roller cam setup. But i didn't have to do that so this 318 is fine...

    After learning how to install cam bearings, buying the installation tool and doing it myself for the first time, the last thing I wanted to do was to do it all over again. Overkill? Perhaps. Did it work? PERFECTLY. Not one nick, mark or scratch on the fresh new cam bearings.

    parts hawk is a reputable seller, they're just a big online middle man like rock or whoever. melling is good stuff and great value. that cam is bascally a 340 cam, but it's ground on a 112. i've run them in 318's a bunch. i think there's better, more modern, or more suitable grinds out there...

    stock 360 2bbl is .410/.410 and 252/252 (or there abouts, 71~74 was slightly mas) stock 360 4bbl is .430/.444 and 268/276 ETA: 360 2bbl cams work great in 318's and that 425 grind from delta is very similar to an old MP purple shaft grind.
