headlights should have a continuous feed from the main splice. that the brake lights work says it is farther down stream like closer to the head light switch OR at the dimmer switch the head light switch if turned all the way counters clockwise will click and cause the wire that gets grounded...

The rocker arm number is the Harland sharp S70026K, it seems that they have the LA style oil through pushrods provisions.

Can anyone help identify the wiring in the pictures attached? I’ve looked up wiring diagrams and seems there should only be one wire going to the side markers which I assume is the yellow connector. Anyone know what the black connector is for? I figured it’s a ground but not sure what it’s for...
