Most of the new master cylinders I've bought came with a new retainer.

high compression egge pistons for 273

I would use those hi-tops in a NY minute, and machine them to fit as may be required. It's really hard to get decent cylinder pressure in those small bores, for anything but a small solid-lifter cam, any other way. Part of the problem, you're gonna find out real quick, is getting a decent...

    Airflow to Cubic Inches

Thank you, I missed this one. I’m a 1/3 through this(had to rewatch some of it) and I won’t comment too much on it till I watch the whole thing. Darren Morgan is well respected by the porters on you tube I follow, seems like his content I have found is limited. Maybe I just haven’t been looking...

Rubber tip on the brake rod

Just means I am going to wait and next time i have a bigger order with dr. diff i will throw one in. He does have some good stuff and I have ordered from him before, but it was before covid when shipping didn't give sticker shock. I agree with the "do it right" crowd because we are few who...

Rubber tip on the brake rod

sure it can. and i'd have no qualms about doing so if you're broke down at the end of a dirt road in some third country **** hole. but if i see that on a car it's a sign and it tells me that i need to be on the look out for other half *** hack-a-saurus wrecks work or boondoggle engineering. if...

What could cause this bent push rod (not a Mopar, but still…)

drive it til it happens again. if it's out of warranty by then do as suggested and replace the cam and lifters for 'normal' type. neil. ps as the lifters are roller type they don't 'have' to go back in the same holes they came from, unlike flat tappet type..

School me on bird bath hoods….interchangability.

Just the '79 and '80 models including the RamCharger and Trailduster. You can convert to a '72-8 hood if you also use the '72-8 cowl and wiper transmission.

    Evil Shift Cables!!!

Guess I was hoping someone would say, "So-in-so makes a more flexible cable." or something to that effect. But as someone replied, "You spend all this money, you expect things to work like they say....." Just don't have faith in something you had to jerry rigged together. Plus it looks like ***...

Ugliest vehicle made, in your opinion. Here's mine.

The early 60s Mopars were not all that attractive in my opinion. The 1960-62 Dodge Lancers and '60-62 Toad Valiants also have styling that very few could love.

    Convertible Header Moulding

Took the trim off from the front windows on my 69 Barracuda. I noticed some kind of sealer or weather strip. What is recommended to put in here when reinstalling the trim piece?

Rear window trim clip location. 68 Dart 2 door.

You could look at this for reference or the marks on your trim. https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/windshield-molding-clip-question.360765/

    Rebuilding lower hinges?

Yes, need to see the hinges. If they are the '63 to '65 style the lower hinge steel is HARDENED, HARDENED and more HARDENED. I personally would send it to Leo if I do another one. You need matching hardened bits to drill it out. Painful without the right tools.

    Bad engine miss

The worst thing you can do to these old motors is crank them for oil pressure. With the oil pump not spinning fast enough to move oil at cranking RPM. If the motor had an external oil system, that is one thing. But with a stock style motor/ oiling setup. Just start the motor.
