The crank doesn’t have any grooves or scratches. The bearings in question were rod 7 and 8 and those crank journals look and feel the same as the rest of the crank where all the other bearings look brand new. It feels smooth as glass when you drag your fingers over it

For being a lifter, it sure does have me down. These were Elgin lifters made in Mexico during the “pandemic”. The 15 other ones look fine to the naked eye.

I might just go with a roller cam. But I’ve heard nightmare stories about those too.

I think both LCAs need to be close to full droop when installing the torsion bars. It doesn’t matter how the bars themselves are rotated but there is a left side and a right side. They should be stamped on the back
