Question Re: Barracuda ('68) Rear Folding Seat

Thanks for your reply, yes I move the release lever to fold down. I'm not sure moving the lever is necessary to return the seats to upright, but I tried it both ways, the seat will move part of the way up but the issue is that the cam is out of alignment and hits other body metal

Massive caster variance Side to side

...several times just to insure repeatability without making any adjustments. I found it highly repeatable so I was excited to get to set my alignment with my new SPC UCA's I got from Bergman's. Each time I made an appropriate adjustment, it showed up on the reading (meaning the reading showed...

    Replacing my Intake Manifold Question

So after test fitting I noticed the new manifold is not drilled for the alignment pins in the block fore and aft. What are your suggestions? Looks like I can “try” to drill out the pin holes in the manifold (which will be hard to precisely locate) or remove the pins (which I assume I would have...

Following the SKOSH chart - your experiences?

How does it steer at low speeds. Do you do much low speed maneuvering; parking lots, driveway, etc? It's a lot of what the driver is used to and finds acceptable. 235 and wider up front will start being noticeable difference. Guy in club has a 4spd 69 Roadrunner with 16:1 and 235/60/15's up...

Issues with Steering on 1965 Valiant V8

Would there be more than one type of Pitman arm with different angles, or are they all the same? I spoke with 2 mechanics today who are working on the car and they said everything else checks out other than the arm. should they both be the same length or should one be shorter?

318 pulley mistake, need the correct size.

A LOT of external 340 stuff is same for 318, 273. Pulleys for the most part make no difference, but once you start playing the mix n match game it feels like your playing the "medicine cabinet" game lol.

Did I really mess this up? Rough alignment issues (uneven tie rod length) after steering box and spindle replacement

This is the problem with all of the larger, chain style shops I’ve ever been to. They will only do an alignment to the specs that are in the computer, which are for bias ply tires. You can try to explain until you’re blue in the face that sending you out on the road with radial tires and an...

High Speed vibration, can't find what's causing it.

My Van would vibrate or shake over 90. I took it as the wind getting under it and just let it go. Possible you need to drop your front end a little. Other comments are also valued here, I'm just giving you a possible easy way out.

    Front end setup (Drag Racing)

Ok, this was a good read. My build is finally ready for a front end alignment and I have one scheduled for next Friday. Front setup - QA1 k-member, QA1 upper and lower control arms, QA1 strut rods, Factory /6 torsion bars, Calvert 90/10's. Rear setup - Inboarded Calvert Split mono leafs...

Looking for adjustable UCA that uses the small ball joint 1970 Duster

Looks like years of wheels up launches have taken their toll on the front end of my duster. Alignment shop can get it close, but it won't go to positive caster or correct camber any more. I'm looking for adjustable UCA's for this car, but everything out there seems to be for 1973 and newer...

Question Re: Barracuda ('68) Rear Folding Seat

...pulled the seatback for access, then recentered and tightened everything. When bolting the seatback back down, there is a lot of leeway in the bolts, so it can shift left, right and up, down. This alignment is also pretty critical, so you might need to loosen the bolts and shift it around a...

Are my upper control arms unusable now? 1973 Dart.

Today I was attempting to remove bushing shells from an upper control arm and I got a little careless, and might have bent one of the "ears" holding the bushing just a little bit. Is it toast? Can it be fixed by a automotive machine shop. Can the front alignment process compensate for this?

U Bolts from a Dakota rear end working on an 8 3/4. Has anyone used this or heard of this.

I have Dakota Ubolts on my 8.25 diff in my Dart. They have the flat area. The diff I have is an original 73-74 Mopar 8.25 with Jeep Grand Cherokee gears and sure grip in it with the Cherokee disc brakes. The Mopar 8.25 and the Dakota 8.25 both have 3 inch tubes, as does a 8.75.

318 pulley mistake, need the correct size.

I'll bolt the power steering pump on later later and see how the belt alignment is before I buy another pulley. The other problem is now people claim stuff is for a 340 and ask way too much money. So buying online will take some time.

Not sure this intake will feed 600 hp

It’ll bolt on…. With the use of a drill and tap on the head…. Port alignment is another issue. There isn’t enough aluminum to port match it to the stock window on the head. Maxing out the intake window area is the best that can be done at that area. It will help a lot.
