Not hard at all, buy yourself a new fuel line and install it next to the stocker Then buy a new fuel sending unit with a return line port (use your old gasket) and plumb the stock line in as the return line All that's left now is a return style regulator set to 6psi and tie it all together

I want to use a 3 line filter for a fuel return to reduce the chance of a fuel system vapour lock. Have a new 1970 tank and a used OEM sending unit. Building the car now.

Vapor vent should valve should be open at idle and closed as soon as throttle starts opening. Putting a later return type filter with a return fuel line back to the tank may help, too.

Either put an electric pump on it and run a return line, OR a mechanical pump with enough pressure to stand running a return line. The return line and higher PSI pump will solve the issue.....that is IF it is really vapor lock. I've said this many, many times, but real vapor lock is pretty rare...

Not half. But it will bleed off some. That is, as long as you use a bypass regulator for the return orifice, OR use a fuel filter with a metered orifice return nipple. If you simply plumb in a straight return, then yeah, your fuel pressure will drop dramatically.
