Vapor return or liquid return line?

I occasionally fight hard starts on my 73 Dart Swinger which seems to be a heat soak issue. After reading a few threads online about adding a vapor return line and filter I crawled under the car and found what I assume to be a vapor return line running along side the fuel line - though it...

    Fuel Return

I'm about to break out the BFH and start swingin' at things... '66 Dart wagon with a 360/904. Nothing wild, cruiser/road trip car. It's been on the road already, but I'm making a few changes in things because, well, I wanted to. Basic story: Pulled the tank (2 years old) to add a return line...

How to Prevent Holley Carburetor Fuel Boiling

Not hard at all, buy yourself a new fuel line and install it next to the stocker Then buy a new fuel sending unit with a return line port (use your old gasket) and plumb the stock line in as the return line All that's left now is a return style regulator set to 6psi and tie it all together

Another step backwards☹️☹️ starting to get the Holley Sniper 1 system ready to fire, I set up to flush the fuel line. The pump ran, but no fuel flow from the Holley in-tank return less pump. Will have to drop the tank and pull the pump to find the cause.

Vapor return or liquid return line?

You don't need to go to that work for an orifice. Wix (and others) make several different configurations of inline fuel filters with a 1/4" return already built in. Once again, do not connect that to the vapor line unless you provide a vent elsewhere. That IS the vent for the...

ADDING A RETURN LINE TO AN OEM NON-EVAP FUEL SYSTEM QUESTION

For a vent or fuel return I go to the passenger side of the sender. (Since your fuel lines are on that side. You can add your return line from the third port and run it along the factory line and make it look correct.Typically just above the sender height. But if you are below the fuel level the...

    6 Pack Issues

Either put an electric pump on it and run a return line, OR a mechanical pump with enough pressure to stand running a return line. The return line and higher PSI pump will solve the issue.....that is IF it is really vapor lock. I've said this many, many times, but real vapor lock is pretty rare...

How to Prevent Holley Carburetor Fuel Boiling

Had the same issues with an Edelbrock carb, I’m sure you know why. Vapor return or liquid return line?

Couple of things probably in play here. First, fix that line. Now for the fuel or vapor question. From the FSM: Note that it says it is designed to "allow fuel vapors to return to the fuel tank", so there's part of your answer. The rest of the answer involves the parts being used. The fuel...

    Vapor lock- additive?

Not half. But it will bleed off some. That is, as long as you use a bypass regulator for the return orifice, OR use a fuel filter with a metered orifice return nipple. If you simply plumb in a straight return, then yeah, your fuel pressure will drop dramatically.

How to Prevent Holley Carburetor Fuel Boiling

Summer to Winter switch is September 15 in Idaho, according to the Google Man. Could be dated info, or different if you’re in an ozone non-attainment area. Also, if the problem is engine-off heat soak, not sure the return fuel line will help. Opening the hood would solve the problem, but...
