[WANTED] “Dummy” style dash cover for a non-pushbutton 64 Valiant or Barracuda

Good gravy! I had no idea they were going for that kind of money! I will likely be modifying my push button cover if that is the case!

[WANTED] Passenger side rear wheel opening trim for 1964 Barracuda

My other three are in decent used condition, so I’d like them to match. I post up a photo of one of them after Christmas. Thx!

My passenger side rear wheel opening molding is mangled beyond help! Anybody got an extra that won’t blow the budget? Standard PayPal only, please and thanks!

[WANTED] “Dummy” style dash cover for a non-pushbutton 64 Valiant or Barracuda

Looking for a good used “push button automatic delete cover” from a 1964 Plymouth Valiant or Barracuda equipped with a 3 or 4 speed manual transmission. Chrome coated finish condition isn’t important, as long as the plastic is in good condition and is paintable. Reasonable price and shipping...

Towed the car home with the 2 wheel Tow Dolly approximately 200 miles without any issues.

1964 Barracuda Dashboard Switch Bezels without transmission pushbuttons

I thought this was a fairly general question concerning if a part was hard to find or not, but if you want to move this elsewhere then go for it. If you don’t want me on here, or you don’t like where I ask questions, then delete my account. I’d prefer any of it to being slapped by the rule...

1964 Barracuda Dashboard Switch Bezels without transmission pushbuttons

Unfortunately, the ‘64 Dart and Barracuda used a different instrument panel and the bezels do not interchange.

1964 Barracuda Dashboard Switch Bezels without transmission pushbuttons

Yeah, that was my point; I have not been able to locate either a junkyard or parts car that had the bezel nor have I been successfully in just finding the part on eBay, Marketplace, on here, etc. thus I am here asking if this has become a difficult part to find? I think I have located a used...

1964 Barracuda Dashboard Switch Bezels without transmission pushbuttons

Greetings all, Work and planning is underway to bring back my recently rescued ‘64 Barracuda. The car was originally a 273 and a pushbutton AT but now has a couple of wide open spaces where they use to live. The plan is to run a newer (post 1967) 225 and 904 as cheap replacements. Obviously, a...

64 Barracuda factory steel wheel paint colors

The caps were stacked inside the car when I bought it and after holding one up to the rim, I was surprised to see that there is virtually no lip of the rim visible at all around the edge of the cover, so the paint color on the rim is really moot from a styling perspective. Should have check that...

64 Barracuda factory steel wheel paint colors

My car was painted factory gold and the wheels are currently black. I am going to replace the tires, so I thought this would be as good of a time as any to sandblast and repaint the 13” rims. I was thinking of painting the wheels white since I am going with blackwall tires and I was thinking the...

    Slant six transplant ‘64 Barracuda

Good to know! There is alot of info on the web; some of it is spot on; some … not so much! I have found it’s better to verify before spending $$$! I can probably track down the correct early A pan and pick up tube … but if there was a newer style I could “luck into” when buying a motor/trans...

    Slant six transplant ‘64 Barracuda

Thanks for the great info. I found the following info from another online source. The first photo claims to represent “all” the S6 oil pans; not just A bodies. Maybe others can chime in and call truth of fiction? Obviously, the more options available, the better.

    Slant six transplant ‘64 Barracuda

Greetings All, Just purchasing a 64 Barracuda project car. Originally was a V8 car with PB automatic, both of which are now gone; as is the driveshaft. For my needs, a newer (early to mid 1970s) 225 slant six and 904 combination would seem to be easy to find, do the job I need it to do, and...

Common wheels to tow a ‘64 Barracuda

I thought about that and checked the prices at U Haul. For the cost of the rental, I can just about buy all four new passenger radial tires for the Barracuda. The dolly is sitting behind my garage. It’s a ‘one in the hand; two in the bush’ kind deal. I gotcha about the tires though; smarter to...

Good to know! I will keep that in mind … especially if the 13” tire supply completely evaporates! Looks as if it might!

Unfortunately, towing it anywhere to replace the tires just won’t be happening! I can swing it with the HF machine, though.

Common wheels to tow a ‘64 Barracuda

All good suggestions and thanks for them! I had forgotten that I do have one of those harbor freight manual tire changers and a modified pallet to mount it to (for stablity … and add my weight standing on it and it ain’t going nowhere!) hiding in the garage hoard, so I will probably just order...

Common wheels to tow a ‘64 Barracuda

Definitely won’t be swapping hubs/axles in this dude’s yard, 200 miles from home. The second solution involves scoring another set of 13” Mopar steel wheels, but since none the junkyards around me ever have anything older than the 1990s any more, that seems unlikely … but I will keep scanning...

Common wheels to tow a ‘64 Barracuda

Greetings all! Just “inked” the deal to buy a ‘64 Barracuda project car. The car will need to be towed about 200 miles home on a 2 wheel “car dolly” type trailer (driveshaft removed). Of course, dummy me didn’t think about pulling the 2 rear wheels with perfectly dry rotted tires before leaving...

64-66 cuda fold down seat into 63-66 dart

Thanks for posting! Other than the upholstery difference, it sure looks like the same seat bottom to my untrained eye! If not exactly the same, it’s got to be scary close! I had my doubts that the good folks up in the engineering department would bother to design an entirely new seat bottom when...

64-66 cuda fold down seat into 63-66 dart

Yes, I am reasonably sure that the seat bottoms from the 63-66 Valiant 2 door sedans and HTs (and I assume Darts, also) are wider than the Barracuda and Convts. I know that the back seat bottoms on the 4 doors are wider and are curved on the sides to make entering and exiting the back seat easier.

64-66 cuda fold down seat into 63-66 dart

If you have time, please do. I have read that they are slightly different, but I can’t imagine why … but if they are, I can’t image by much. I am guessing the Barracuda seat bottom might be lower (shorter springs or reduced padding) so the seat back could fold down into less space to make the...

64-66 cuda fold down seat into 63-66 dart

Anybody still read old threads? How much/what are the differences between a 1963-66 Valiant convertible back seat bottom and a 64-66 Barracuda back seat bottom? Interchangeable.

Trying to save a ‘66 Barracuda

I was probably unclear, but I located the car, but as of yet, I have not purchased it. I am really not a “Chrysler guy” by design, but the early Barracudas have been a bucket list car on my list for a long time. My first experience with one was my aunt’s (by marriage) mother drove a pretty beat...

Trying to save a ‘66 Barracuda

No engine or trans yet, but locating a 225 and a 904 doesn’t seem like it will present much of a problem; doesn’t seem to be any shortage of them on facebook marketplace, craigslist, etc. So driveshafts were all the same length no matter the year - from ‘66-‘75ish? No matter the wheelbase?
