67 Splash Guards? For 67 Barracuda Convertible

I don't know for sure but at front I believe riveted to frame rail. Chk frame rail for a hole pattern? A factory parts manual is going to be your savior putting this together. That and fabo. Good luck!

2 barrel , 4 barrel, whose got the answer?

The whole setup is pretty pricey these days. The manifold, carburetors, air cleaner and linkages etc.

    Gm hei conversion ignition coil.

That '85 Diplomat definitely came with the 9.2:1 cr pistons, Roller Block with the 302 closed chambered heads. Plenty of potential there to wake it up, it just needs more fuel and a good ignition. Here is an '85 318 that I was able to buy the 302 heads off from. Can see it's a roller...

    So... What did I buy?

I agree with 71GSSDemon, replacement blocks didn't have VIN numbers. That is a 318-3 truck crankshaft, I have one of those hard to find pieces. RRR is correct front throw is not drilled through, nice score! 65

67 Splash Guards? For 67 Barracuda Convertible

My 67 Barracuda was completed disassembled a year or 2 ago. My very knowledgeable mechanic that was doing most of the work passed away recently so I am trying to figure out where some things go. I have these 2 plastic things that each say LH and RH. They must go somewhere in the forward fender...

    So... What did I buy?

That is the only thing on the front of the engine. There is no VIN after that or on the side by the oil pan. It's cast in 72 but the "JM" I thought meant it was a 73? IDK?

    So... What did I buy?

I believe warranty replacement blocks didn't have VIN numbers.

    So... What did I buy?

Looks like forged crank. Where's the weird block #'s? In 5th pic I see "JM 340P". Nothing on vin rail? 340-6 stamping is normal. The numbers following the dash usually range from 1-8. I've never seen a dbl digit there.

    So... What did I buy?

Yeah that's the plan. I'm really confused about the block numbers. Not like it makes a difference I just never have seen one like this.

    So... What did I buy?

Just balance it accordingly with everything you plan to bolt to it and it'll be fine.

[WANTED] Shot in the dark. Looking for a pair of p4876124 valve covers

That would be a big help. Thank you. I know the 1941 Plymouth isn't an A body (thanks to the community for not running me off), but I do plan to make a sort of what a Moonshiner would do if they had access to the Chrysler Small Block and other updated parts. It has a 117.5 inch wheelbase and...

    So... What did I buy?

That's a heavy duty 318 crank, I believe. The 340 cranks had the front throw drilled all the way through if I remember right.
  20. Dartswinger70

    So... What did I buy?

The block is genuine and the crank looks like a normal forged piece to me I have 2 340s and had 3 in my life. I cant explain why there are no numbers but i have had guys tell me some of the cranks don't have numbers. It makes me wonder if it is or was a replacement .

We are responding to the OP original questions. He already decided on the HEI conversion, we are showing him where to get the coil parts that work so well, as he asked. And you dont have to spend $100 + dollars on a pretty red one to get the job done. The title of the post says HEI...
