OK, now if you can post the model or photo of your meter, we can give you a few hints, there. Or if you have a test lamp, that may be good enough, meter tho is better. START VOLTAGE Bear in mind there is only so much going in/ coming out of the key switch: main power into the ignition...

No, the only potential difference is U Joint size.. Measure the yoke you are removing and one on 3rd member you are installing.

Honeydew List Valiant - Ratty Build

The k-member was removed, acid dipped, painted and all the parts were restored or replaced. I upgraded to Kelsey Hayes disc brakes while I had it apart. I picked up a set of cheap (free) roller tires from an old trailer and mounted them on the powder coated wheels.

Finally Tired of Antics on Graveyard Cars

He did say that the reason he didn't restore any "A" bodies was because they lack the value, he went on to say that it would cost more to fix these cars than what they are worth. I think that he's only done 3 or 4 A bodies. I quit watching his show long ago as it's to much drama for me

    TTI Exhaust question

Shep76, if you want performance with QUIET, here is my solution : Get a muffler with the proper tube size for the application (engine size and power) then get the BIGGEST, FATTEST, LONGEST muffler that will fit under the car. NO 13" case muffler will be quiet (except maybe a 1 1/2" pipe...

    Machine shop recommendation Middle Tn?

There is Precision in McMinnville that I have used many times. Excellent quality,,,,,,not cheap by any means,,,but they are a quality shop . Can do almost anything you want,,,they do everything,,,but used to specialize in Mopar . They quit building engines and only do machine work now . I don’t...

Best way to add front sway bar

This post reminded me that I need to call Firm Feel. I ordered a bar for my '65 Dart back in April but I haven't hear a peep from them since.

    TTI Exhaust question

That J-pipe is a helmholtz resonator. It's used to cut down drone by reflecting sound waves back into the system. They sometimes require experimentation to get the right length. Once dialed in, they work beautifully. I had 3 1/2 pipe center in/out aeros on my small block car, and once I got used...

When he said there was a spark at the battery, there's a load somewhere? Possible reason for low battery. Fuseable link should be at the bulkhead connector, blue? If blown wire would appear to have a bubble in the insulation or melted.

    So... What did I buy?

I just noticed something intresting... The "4" is surounded by a circle. It seems to be in about the same location as the 273 Core Plug was???? same sand casting molds but with modifications?????

Finally Tired of Antics on Graveyard Cars

It seems to run in cycles for me. There are some episodes that are mostly good and I enjoy them. I only watch shows that are recorded so I can fast forward through the stupidity. Sometimes I fast forward through the whole show. He could do something a little different to freshen it up. You can...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ma Mopar liked her greens in the late 60's and 70's. I had a F8 69 Road Runner. Pretty car especially in the sun. The interiors were a 3 tone green which were pretty attractive. I had a F8 73 Challenger with black strobe stripes and a one tone green interior that was ugly. I never did like it...

Plans? Ha! You think I plan any of this stuff? Ok that’s mostly a joke but not really. I don’t really have a plan for the D as I shouldn’t be working on it right now because I have 2 other cars to finish. But I just like it so much and have wanted one for so long I can’t help myself. Stop in for a cup of coffee

'72or3 we made a trip to the Super Shop in San Berdoo for hot rod parts. At a stop light a Boss 429 Rustang with a FOR SALE sign in the window stops next to us. Down goes my window "how much do you want for it?" "$1500" is the response. I wasn't a big Rustang fan, but I was a Boss 429 fan. "I...

It's supposed to be .038 compressed. When you loosen the head bolts to measure it, it isn't compressed any more and measures .042. .004 isn't much.

Step by step guide for idiots ( idiot, me )

My schematic on my 68 shows the fusible link wire goes from the top post of the starter relay to the "J" terminal in the bulkhead (yours might be a different terminal but the same method applies). Set your multimeter to DC volts, place your black lead on the battery ground terminal and the red...
