Did some more checking and a salvage yard will not take a car, truck, bike without a title, this is in Missouri I don't know about anywhere else. If a state doesn't issue a title on a older car then said owner has to have some proof of ownership in order for a buyer in Missouri to obtain a title.

A title to me equates to an "ownership" up here in canada. So TO ME if the car doesn't have a title/ownership the value of the car TO ME is a parts car or one that would require a rebody.

The cable changed in early '68 models....went from screw-on speedo end to a clip-on. The adaptor is a separate housing for the speedo gear. The speedo cable threads onto this adaptor.
