    Measuring boost back pressure

This is getting comical now. Apparently I’ve introduced an electrical gremlin cause now my oil pressure lead isn’t working. Swapped out the back pressure sensor and it looks better.

    Measuring boost back pressure

I just hooked my back pressure lead to my oil pressure sensor and it works as it should. I’m swapping out this sensor for a spare I have on hand.

    Measuring boost back pressure

So calibration and scaling did change between firmware 1.5 and 1.6 on the MS but I think I'm just dealing with a faulty sensor. I use the same sensor for oil pressure and fuel pressure and they are all calibrated the same. I did update them to the new 1.6 settings and oil and fuel give the same...

    Measuring boost back pressure

I agree. It doesn’t make sense and there has to be something else at play. I logged about 5 runs and all but one showed negative numbers like this BUT one did show like 2-3psi of back pressure. The calibration of the sensor hasn’t changed. Next steps are to enable boost controller and add a...

Has a 4 lb spring in it at the moment. 4" down pipe that dumps right before torsion bar cross member. Everything else is the same. This is from a quick shake down test...

Haven’t you heard of the Power Big Meet? Biggest hot rod car show in the world. Takes place in Sweden. They import thousands of American classics every year from what I’ve read.

[FOR SALE] PTC 727 9.5” High HP Converter

Just built by PTC. I’ve decided to go with a Circle-D converter I already installed and don’t want this one sitting around. This is a 9.5” Spragless unit setup to stall around 3500 RPM. It was spec’d for a turbo or nitrous high HP street/strip application. PTC said it would be good for 1000HP...

It’s so tempting and would be sooo much easier! I tried to mock something up that would go down and snake its way past the k frame and towards the rear but just too much crap in the way. I just got some stainless 2”. I’m going to merge it into the downpipe. I know, boring.

The coil brackets I CAD’d and sent out to be cut interfered with the push in filters so had to rethink that. So I had bungs TIG’d in the valve covers. I’ll route from the valve cover to the catch can now.

    Goodbye Torqstorm, hello Spoolius Ceasar

Oh it can totally be tuned out. It’s just so minor I haven’t paid much attention to it. And it’s actually its own table that sits on top of the VE table and adds/subtracts from the main VE.

    Goodbye Torqstorm, hello Spoolius Ceasar

Sounds wicked good! Make sure you're out of ASE (Afterstart enrichment) before you tweak the VE Tables. Looks like you probably are because I see CLT is around 170. Idle was a challenge for me and off-idle/accelerator enrichment is my Kryptonite. I still have a flat spot coming off idle with...

    Goodbye Torqstorm, hello Spoolius Ceasar

Check the basics before you tidy up the wiring. Make sure injectors and coils are wired in the correct order with correct outputs. Use the test feature in TunerStudio to confirm. If that looks good, run the tooth logger and make sure your crank and cam sensors look stable. Check timing also and...

Just sent these off to be cut. I made them to bolt to the Magnum valve covers using long spacers but could be adapted to LA easily. Just a simple 1/8” aluminum plate with holes to mount the D585 coils using 1/2” standoffs. Hopefully they fit OK.
