    First car show -- advice??

Go and have fun. Classic seems right to me. I go to many shows, but mostly just to hang with friends. I have only ever won 1 award, and that was at MCACN of all places. I drive my car and there is no denying that or hiding it. Always still has the bugs on it. Nothing like a pair of Mr...

    Acceptable carbs for the street

Rich Nedbal did a crossram multiport EFI conversion on a Hemi where he kept everything inside the manifold except the two throttle bodies. Page 87 in his book How To Build Max-Performance Hemi Engines (SA Design 164). However, this was the MP crossram with the two removable top plates. In...

Good morning everyone. We made it to Sunday, my last day of vacation. Overall got a lot done despite the cold. I am feeling pretty good about it.

Which intake should I use/ buy

If the OP wants to spend some money now, I'd advise him to tune or have the 600 Eddy tuned before anything else. Depending on his cam selection this summer, both the carb and Weiand may still be players. I do agree, if he just has to have a new intake, it should be a dual plane.

Front disc brakes locking up, 72 Duster

REPLACE the phenolic caliper pistons with steel or a hybrid phenolic with metal. Phenolics are ok when used regularly but they absorb moisture that increases the diameter and expands when the pistons get hot. The moisture cannot easily escape quick enough to prevent piston expansion. This has...

    First car show -- advice??

Three things I can add here. 1) When my son was 4 or 5, we (the boy, wifey & I) went to a Father's Day car show and a fellow with a gold 66 or 67 Chevelle had the boy sit in the driver's seat and the man had brought an old open face race helmet for kids to wear. The man's wife took a picture &...

HELP NEEDED WITH A DASH FRAME INSTALLATION

Same here. Put a '68 Barracuda dash frame (with extra holes welded shut, etc.) in my '72 Duster and the bottom sat so low on both sides I had to get a bottle jack in there and jack it up with all the top bolts tight. Worked fine. My thought was sandblasting it caused it to distort but it was...

1972 Duster, 340/4, black on black (the endgame)

Not quite in yet but it's back and bolted together and all I need is oil for the transmission. Should be in Sunday night  The fella who did the cam break-in says it maintains 80psi oil pressure @ 2200 RPM, runs strong and has a nice lope.

1 wire internal or external oem alternator

I run a 1 wire alternator on my Duster after installing an American Autowire harness. If you’re not planning on running a stock harness you probably want to run whatever style alternator the new harness is designed around. I personally wouldn’t put a stock style harness in anything other than a...

70 Swinger Rally Dash Lights Dim

So I went to the Superbrightled website and found the bulbs that would work in my car, I messaged @slantsixdan and asked his advice. He gave me short lesson on LEDs and why we shouldnt buy these cheap bulbs. His recommendation was the Philips Ultinon bulb, more pricey, but worth it he said...

This and totally this!! I couldnt give a fat rats *** if they do zero for my performance, they look awesome and not everything we do to our cars has to be to make them go faster. I dont drive fast enough for the wing on my car to do make any difference either, but man, it sure looks awesome...

[Found!] Flexible 16" Rubber PSA Sanding Block, Exactly Like the one in the Photos Only

The one George Jets is suggesting is a rigid block. If you read my ad above you''ll see I am after a flexible block. Also for what it's worth the block he suggested looks just like a Dura Block knock off. It really pains me that I can't run a wanted ad on this forum without it turning into a...

For a one wire, it Depends on where the battery and sense/charge wire is. One wires with a trunk battery are not the best when the charge / sense wire are tied in the system in the engine bay…
