6.5 years on a battery - new personal record!

Whenever I buy a new battery I try to get the latest date possible. Sometimes you don' t have the ability to rummage through them. I recently bought a battery from Sam' club on sale. I put the battery on the trickle charger and it read 12.6 volts. So over night the next day still read 12.6...

    67/68/69 cuda dilemma

Ready to do the crankshaft, and I'm out of plastigage. We went to Vatozone , and no plastigage, but the old guy who helped us said he knew what it was, and what it was used for. He didnt ask what car or engine type. He mentioned O Rileys, and they had 2 kits, so I bought both LOL. We are gonna...

    Idle shake

Trained ear, yeah you can hear the faint loap at idle. Compared to a stock cam, the difference is night and day. Most people over cam their engines when building them, so they don't idle well. They start making power at 1500-2000 rpm to 5000-6000 rpm... not much at idle. Stock cams start...

Indeed. The NFL needs to rethink the "preseason" games They are meaningless with how long the regular season is. They should just have each team do 3 or 4 joint practices instead. The first 3 games of the season now are just bad football. I'm OK with that. Denver is still seeking that...

Non-Mopar car you wish you had purchased?

Over the many decades, so many Mopars have come and gone, and a few GM cars to flip quickly, as in some Corvettes. I have always loved the "art" of many brand X and Y and Z cars, but some have NO art (beauty) at all I guess! I have always lusted after a 66 Fairlane and a 64 Comet Cyclone with...

Non-Mopar car you wish you had purchased?

In 1983 I had a chance to to buy a dark green 67 Z28 302 4spd for a 650 bucks. Body and interior was perfect but the engine needed crank work( rod knock). If I'd only knew then what I know now. I also missed out on a perfect 67 GTX body for 135 bucks and 4spd for 25.
