Sorry, guess that I missed that you have a non factory system! Going to have to pay more attention to my reading capabilities! If it's got a water valve, then that is a shut off. I was thinking stock non a/c heater. Sorry.

Thanks. That code on my fender tag is A23. So does the 'A' mean first month of production, 23rd day?

Up to thru 68. But the bolt on timing mark might also interfere. You may have to make a custom one.

For the 1969 model year, they started production in early August of 1968 and built them until sometime in mid to late July of 1969. The SCHEDULED production date is found on the second row of numbers and letters and is a 3 digit code. It is found before the last 6 numbers on the second line.

That's going to take time. You had nasty injury . A lot of Trama. Just keep the wound clean and watch for infection.

Typically build years start in August.(IIRC) So your 69 may have been built in 68. This example 930 (red box) is 9/30/69 for a 1970 model year car. Vin shows 0 (green arrow) =70 model year

The water pump discharge will obscure that cast timing tab. The bolt on places the timing marks on the other side.

    Who has done a 5.7 with a833 4 speed Overdrive ?

Yeah, I knew this wasn't really helpful to you since you pivoted to the TTI mounts. But with the discussion and my comment that I would post info after I got my motor setting in the car, I figured I should follow up even though it wouldn't really be applicable to you. But maybe someone will...

    De-Pin a headlight switch connector

Also if you have not done so, read this: Some have criticized that article, and the way they do that bypass, but the article DOES point out the problems with the bulkhead connector WHICH ARE the same terminals as your light switch. In particular the ammeter circuit can be a problem.

    440 A Body Cooling solutions?

I would find replacements and do so, End of story. Anytime these are overheated, loose from any cause, rusted, corroded, they need to be replaced. Not only can they cause melt damage to the plastic connector housing, which are hard to replace, but they can also damage the switch...
