    Random pictures thread

Photo #1: A photo of a 35mm print from about 25 years ago when I disassembled my car. My son was about 19 YO at the time. I was about 50. Photo #2: About 2 weeks ago just before we re-installed the engine. He's now 44 YO. I'm 75. I had him pose for this photo.

    Turbo plans

When I did my turbo, back in 1979, there wasn't much info available about turbo setups, available to the hotrodders. The first issue I had was fuel flow (carb issues). Finally got that squared away, and then started blowing the head gaskets. Tried different brand/type gaskets and was still...

This is what it looks like with the snorkle removed and the lips hammered flat. No way to repair that to an oval.

    Only 460hp

I think you're right where ya want. I would absolutely suggest a forged crank. Not an Eagle, either. From my own experience, I don't think the Trick Flow's will support much more, unless someone does some work on them. Had 'em, ran 'em........sold 'em. I run a solid roller .640/.640 , 259/265 @...

What is a good stall to go with a 3:23 Sure Grip?

IIRC the 380hp/360 roller cam is 230/234 at .050 108 LSA

    1970 340 air cleaner dimensions?

The side without the snorkle will be easier than the snorkle side. There's not much way around making a new piece with the oval formed, to mig or tig in. If you could get a nice sized chunk of Ironwood to make the wooden die with, it may hold up pretty well to hand forming the oval opening. I'd...

Non-Mopar car you wish you had purchased?

Yep, I would take one of those. 69 Olds 442 W30 would be great too, friend had one long long ago 455 4 speed, red with black stripes and black interior.

It is spot welded to lips that are folded outwards on the main body of the air cleaner. They are easy to drill and remove if you have rotobroach spot weld cutters.

What's your favorite old school Japanese car?

I once owned a Honda AN600, a 2-cylinder air cooled 600cc 2 door micro car. Parts were hard to get even in the 70s. Even the tires were hard to get, the only ones I ever found were Firestones.
