Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

I'm hoping it feels like my 2015 Challenger R/T 6M did, except lighter and faster, loved driving that thing. Setting the '73 up to have the same gearing and motor plus a little. :D

Lightweight flywheel options and selection criteria.

Me neither! There's an aluminum Centerforce just sitting in my shed that has half a summer on it. What I hated most was the "lurchiness" at slow speeds. Not to mention, I could never get a consistent launch with the damn thing.

Thoughts on early vs. late Slants.

Let's not catastrophize things. The '81-up Slant-6 hydro lifter setup is unconventional, with its top-down oil feed, but it works well for plenty of years and miles, and doesn't cause problems. They pump up just fine, and fast enough—unless the vehicle owner uses too thick an oil, and/or is...

Toughing it out on my perch

Another shot…I take terrible pictures. That chair right between the two trees with the blue towel on it is the wife’s. She gets up every morning at 5 to play the towel game, then comes back to bed. I don’t want to ruin her fun, but she could get up way later..lol I know the guy who sets up the...

Toughing it out on my perch

Haha. Nope, they outlawed smoking on the beach. Not sure what if anything would happen if you did. Back then I was still smoking and did so on this beach too. We been coming here for pretty much the month of January since 2012 I think, maybe 2013, have to ask the wife. My ex and I went to Turks...

Strut rod washers.... correct way to use.

If you look at the photos OMM posted way back you'll see the change in strut rods which match the change in how the bushings and washers are shown in the FSMs.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Mine would do that on occasion even though the cup air vents were clear buildup on sides of the cup messed up airflow so no ignition. I had to scrape out the cup pretty regular.

Was down there in 2016. Best beach I ever saw in my life! Can a guy still smoke a cigar on the beach?

Hysteric! My 410 VJ Charger came in @ 3050 lbs at WSID but that was with back seat and passenger seat removed, fiberglass race seat, bumpers removed, console removed and no tailpipes! Last time out it ran 11.4 @ 119mph with a 1.63 sixty foot time. Yes I run a set of 26 inch high slicks with...

    1970 Duster marker lights

Did ALL Dusters in 1970 have the front fender and rear quarter marker lights or was it an option for certain trim packages? I have seen pictures of them with and with out them, is it something that a lot of people eliminate?

What power steering pump was factory for a 68 Barracuda Formula S-340

That pulley is pressed on. You may be able to press it on further to align. I pulled mine off with a puller borrowed from the auto parts store, then stuck the pump in the freezer and the pulley in the oven. This will allow you to slide the pulley all the way onto the shaft, then tweek it out...

Hi, where in Sydney are you? As for the carb you could try both but since you have a stock converter I would lean towards the 600 Holley. I would also send it to Greg Kuchel @ Carby Tuning Techniques to go through and mod/set up for best operation. Have you put the Charger on the scales at...

How to properly Adjust 1972 Dodge Demon Torsion Bars

That '67 K frame has a different idler arm than your '72 K frame does. They got rid of the single mount idler after '67. So if the '67 K frame doesn't have an idler arm already on it, you'll need to buy one and they are expensive. Personally I'd keep the '72 slant 6 K frame and just buy...
