I think you will have issues with 8" wide on the rear. 7" is about all the wider you can go.

I have 15x8 cragar ss 4.25 back space with 235r15 sbp on the back of my 69. Probably could have gone to 245. Mine sets pretty high in back. Front I used 15x6 ss with 195r15, so they are pretty small. Would have gone larger in front if I did it over.

These are 15x6 front and 15x8 back. Sbp direct drill. They have acorn lug nuts. I think they look just like the ones I had in the 70s.

I know for fact spares in 80's 5th Ave are 15x6. I still see these cars every few months in u-pull yards around here. Be cautious as the road wheels are 15x7 and they almost always have swapped for the spare without noticing they're different.
