I may still have one new, or a decent used one you can have . Let me check.

Used lots of smaller generators on construction sites, usually gas, but they all acted the same way. As the load came on the throttle opened more until total load was achieved then the tools would slow down and someone would have to shut their tool off. Smaller generators are hard on power tools

Expand on this with examples please. I have had no luck running light fw's on the street with 600+ hp/tq. It has more to do with how the clutch reacts to the engine speed down low.

    Voltage regulator smoking?

If you can't get local help, I think your best bet right now is to follow the advice given on tracing out the schematic and start asking questions when you get stuck. Don't worry about if you think it's a stupid question or not. A few answers later and it'll unlock your ability to start...

All 3 of those points are totally valid. I would also add the question of parts availability. e.g. just exactly what throttle position sensor (or any other component) does my aftermarket EFI system use? Can I get it from the auto parts store today, or tomorrow at the latest? All 3 of those...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Hi, I only have two more things to take care of, this is after I have ran the engine for a decent length of time, but will continue to do so periodically. 1> There is an oil leak coming from the rear main/pan area, not a steady drip, but after a several minutes of running will accumulate a drop...

Because he can't do it. Other than that, there is no reason to run a steel flywheel with a SLR of 10:1. If you can tune you can even have a taller SLR and use an aluminum FW. 99% of the issue is tuning. I've been running aluminum flywheels on everything I can since the mid 1980's. I would never...

3700 lbs and not much hp/tq = 30 lb flywheel I have used 30lb steel, lightweght steel and aluminum with good results in the correct applications. AL flywheel will make you miserable on the street.

yes, but how much ? there has got to be some parasitic load on there just to keep things rolling no? i guess what i am trying to say is, one of those generators charging two cars would use less fuel then two of the exact same generators charging two individual cars hypothetically i think

Line locks are allowed in all classes to do a burnout and worked by the driver. It can not be used to launch a car with any electronic assistance, as in "delay box", which is usually also used with a trans brake.

My garage has that distinct fuel smell and to be honest , wouldn't want it any other way lol. I have an electric fuel pump so no matter how cold or how long it sits , it always fires on the first try. I posted this for the reason of either getting talked into or out of and I think all the...

1997 dodge ram B2500 van heating issue

Excellent info/advise! I disconnected the vac line & I was able to move the valve lever but it was tight. I dont have a vac pump to check it. I see the correct "heater hose connector valve assy" on ebay & it says in the descrip "vacuum closes non-bypass heater valve" & that makes me wonder if it...

you know, i do see ONE flow in the logic...there are two plugs there which means you could potentially charge 2 cars in 3 hours to bring it up to 11.2 miles to the gallon of course, i dont know how that would impact load

Talk me into or out of Holley Terminator X

One of the main reasons I went with EFI is to get rid of the gasoline smell. The smell wasn't when driving (I had the carb dialed in), it was after parking the car in the garage for a few days. The smell would eventually soak into the garage and the car's interior. Then I would drive it and...

Find one of your friends who has a kinetic bullet puller. Or if you don’t want to save bullet worry it out with a pair of pliers, hand clamping on case ONLY. best safest way find someone with a 303 and shoot them in the dirt. The primer will have to be detonated don’t know of any safe way to...

Lightweight flywheel options and selection criteria.

Yes, at 9.4:1 I'd consider the light weight steel for sure. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't buy a 30lb again. You are correct, 1st gear in an OD is 3.09, same as the old Commando boxes. When I had that trans and 3.55's, the light steel was absolutely awesome.

...I found out, that it can take the rest of the trans out with it. but I gotta tell ya, that box, by itself, was horrible with my 367 cubes and a 230* cam, never mind what it might be with 25 less cubes and a cam 3 sizes bigger. Sell it, friend, just sell it. For your application, I think I...

Lightweight flywheel options and selection criteria.

Well, I am 100% sure that I would NOT run a lightweigt flywheel in your combo. If yur gonna run that combo on the street, Yur gonna find out a few things real quick; 1) those 3.55s are gonna suck, and 2) you'll be begging for a big fat heavy flywheel, and 3) you just cannot idle it down slow...

Lightweight flywheel options and selection criteria.

I "think" that my A833 trans has a 2.66 first gear but I need to get the book out and verify that before I make a move. That would put me at (2.66 x 3.55) 9.4:1 currently If I'm reading you right, which is considerably short of the 11:1 for aluminum. Even more reason to stay with one of the...
