    Foot brake drag racing

If you mean a "regular footbrake racer", there are many out there. I do it once in a while, but I have friends that do it for points for years and years - some going as far back as the 60's. You and your car gotta become one. Some of those I know cut .00X lights a lot. Some tips: stage the...

    [FOR SALE] 1964 Valiant wagon...project

Hi, just an FYI in that the Signet trim was not available on the wagon. It’s either going to be a V100 or a V200. This car apears to be a V100, and your VIN would confirm this. There are places online that you can decode the VIN with. Good luck!

Replacement 68 340 four speed cams

i agree. pretty much everyone grinds it as the AT lift, but with the MT duration and on a 114 (which i think is butt, let the record reflect) now gimme that factory cam on a 110 and we talkin' it's brie time baby.

    Foot brake drag racing

Yes on the practice, practice, practice thing I get it. I already do the power brake thing to get out into traffic as well as get out of some peoples way. Yes to a forward transmission shifting pattern, Parking brake is fully functional............ This is a new ground up build so refining...

[FOR SALE] 225 slant engine and 4 speeds for sale

Those aren't the ones I need. Easiest way to identify an A-Body is one 1 shifter mounting hole-3 each, and short tailshaft. Mounting holes would be toward rear of housing. Thanks for quick replies!

Talk me into or out of Holley Terminator X

The first time you get stuck and can't figure out what's wrong, you'll consider going back to a carb. Happened to me and I felt so helpless especially when the car was on the flatbed truck going back home. Aftermarket EFI has not been perfected like the Factory EFI.

The A bodies were offered with the optional cast 'recall' wheel in '69 according to the sales brochure. Long shot, but I thought perhaps my car had these rare wheels. Build date was too late however. Thanks for all the input guys. Cheers, Pete.

Replacement 68 340 four speed cams

That's the DC version, not the factory Chrysler version. I am almost 100% certain the factory version was on a 114 and possibly on a 115.

    6 Pack Intake/Distributor Question

I've never seen it to know for sure, but between the firewall and air cleaner, I'm giving you a confident "NO". Now, if you're talking about one of the small cap "knock off HEI" distributors, one of those will probably fit......but they aren't HEI. There's only one HEI and that's the big coil...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

I felt I was quite meticulous of the 4 corners and how the rear main seal retainer goes using sealer. I did forget to put anything on the two bolts which hold the rear seal retainer:( If weather is nice or tolerable, I'll fire it back up tomorrow and see what gives. It's fun to hear it run...

    disc brake dust shields

if you can get it done cheap, powdercoat is probably the best option. the shields see a ton abuse so the options are: use something that'll hopefully stand up for a long time (powdercoat) or use something that's easy to touch up (paint). if PC is too $$ on it, then i'd go with engine paint...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Oil leak is either the rear main seal or the oil pan gasket. Did you put a dab of RTV in each of the four corners where the cork meets the rubber end seals? Also, if the shop did not put sealer "of some kind" on the freeze plugs, they will leak. I use a thin layer of RTV and have never had one leak.

    Manual steering box

Copy that. Steering coupler could need to be rebuilt as well. I had a 20:1 PST manual box on one of my cars before I sold it and was happy with it. Requires a little more muscle when parking and it's a little more difficult to back into spaces but I preferred it when out on the road. Not...
