Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

I'm going to say the HC WP will not bolt to a standard cover. Looks like there is one bolt in a different spot. Shoot. I was getting excited about the idea. Guess I will have to buy an HC cover now. Not.

    De-Pin a headlight switch connector

The 1st link, all the female connectors have a "lip" as mentioned. That style as far as I know was only used in dash harness for heater resistor? Maybe part of ac harness? Also for oil psi sender under hood. The rest of females were same as the Aus listed ones. PRICEY! Chk for a thread by...

Mines a 380. Made 550 at 6400. Looks like they pulled it to 7400 and it was still making over 500. Thats with unported W2s. Still trying to get it in my car. Eventually

I've read 2 of so far 4 pages of this. Lunch break is done. I just wanna ask is any of this near what (I think was called) the glass fire of 2-3 years ago? I know Doug Dutra was a part of that a few years ago and lost a bunch

[FOR SALE] 225 slant engine and 4 speeds for sale

I suspected as much. No numbers just backs up the fact that it's something like a warranty replacement. It never came in anything. Just like you already knew.

I sanded it down and made it smooth No numbers. I checked on that flat surface from end to end. I rechecked the 3105 number. 10000 day calendar shows jan27/1970

    De-Pin a headlight switch connector

I believe so. Look at the two links from your post and pay attention to how the second link shows the female connector basically being flat on one end while the first link has a little lip there. I used the connectors from your first link when I rebuilt my bulkhead and everything worked out...

Terminator X Hole Through the Firewall

Here is what I did on my 71 Demon 392 swap. 2" hole and a Jegs 2" grommet in the recessed area under the wiper motor. I have an aftermarket heater/AC box so my location may not work for everyone. The harness will come out behind the intake and on the inside I'm going to run it under the...

Has anyone reversed the twin hood scoops for a cowl induction effect?

Yeah, to get any benefit from cowl induction the opening needs to be very close to the base of the windshield — the high pressure area is right at the angle. Anywhere on the flat hood is laminar flow.

@Joeychgo where is my disagree button? We got heretics here talking about laughing gas when the guy just needs gearing and a torque converter! :poke: I'm serious about the disagree button though.

    Mopar R1 block

I’ve been casting a squinty eye in the direction of the victor heads lately. That block with those is a very attractive platform for a 370’ish inch build.

Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

Ah, here's the gotcha on the HC WP swap. If Mopar machines the HC cover such that the WP surface is a different distance than a standard cover, and then the HC WP is machined taller or shorter such that the overall distance to the WP pulley ends up being the same, bolting that HC WP to a...

Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

Just to follow up, I was curious why a different oil pan was required. The thought being, I know the HC cover has an extra idler boss, but the oil pan made me wonder if there were other differences that might make the WP not fit on a standard cover.

Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

Looks like the HC and 5.7/6.4 TC cover are different at the bottom. 5.7/6.4: Hellcat: Best guess is they pushed the cover and oil pan sealing surface out for the bigger oil pump. But I know an HC oil pump fits the standard cover so not sure why. Either way, an HC TC cover would require...

    sand blasting

Also depends on what kind of unit you have. A cabinet style with or without filtration? A standalone pressurized unit? A cabinet with filtration will "use" less, because you're essentially recycling media. A pressurized sandblaster will go through a whole lot more, because you're just pissing it...
