as far as the wheels go, US indy still makes the small bolt pattern slotted mags in 15X6, 7, 8 and maybe wider, but wider wont fit without a little work anyway someone mentioned brakes, and the rear end this is something you need to give some thought to before dropping money on wheels...

JMHO, but I believe you are correct - 8" wheels will not fit. I have a 66 Valiant with 15x7 steelies with 245/60/15 on the rear, and 15x6 steelies with 215/65/15 on the front, and it's all I can get in there on both ends. There is just enough clearance to work, but there's nothing more to work with.

Thanks for all the replies I went with 15x6 4.5 back spacing I read that the 73 big bolt pattern disc brake set will add almost 3/4 of an inch on both sides so I went a half inch more to 4.5 back spacing came out nice!

My71 duster is pretty much the same car as your demon. Rears are 15x8 with a 4.5" backspace and a 275/60/15 fits no rubbing. A 255/60/15 fits well on an 8 " wheel as well, nice sidewall to it. Fronts are 15x6 with a 205/70/15 no rubbing at all.
