Number 3 After a head gasket change a deep gash was found in cylinder 8 from a broken wrist pin keeper which allowed the wrist pin to ride on the cylinder and a rebuild was in order. A quality rebuild including a 30 overboard and stainless steel valves included in the Xhead rebuild . KB 243...

Not sure what my goal was but I start to believe that these rods don't fit any of my goals. One thought was to replace the LY rods in a 69.5 six pack but I soon realized that the gain would never be worth the money spent on balancing.

idles like stock with just a hint of lope, awesome vacuum, lots more midrange. It is just a stock 318 with an old holley street dominator intake and an Eddy 600 carb, but runs very strong
