    Rebuilt engine, bent push rods?

So after the engine builder took the head off, he discovered somethin really weird...the entire interior of the engine is coated in some strange substance similar to some really really bad gas. On most of the interior of the engine it has hardened to almost a glass-like consistency. Neither of...

    Rebuilt engine, bent push rods?

Well, I wasn't able to figure it out, so next Wednesday I'm having it towed to the builder. Also, anyone know where to get a starter for a 73 Duster that is built right and won't do weird **** like Carquest's do? I think this is the 3rd or 4th starter I'm probably going to have to replace...

    Rebuilt engine, bent push rods?

1 rod per valve, actually, 3 were actually bent to hell, while 3 were just loose. I'm thinking it may be something to do with exhuast, as it's only the exhaust valve rods that seemed to have problems.

    Rebuilt engine, bent push rods?

I have a 73 Duster, had the engine rebuilt because I didn't have the time/knowledge to do it myself. Two days ago it was running great, not a single problem. The timing is dead on, and so on so forth. However, I wen to start it up yesterday and it started and ran for only a few minutes before it...

    73 Duster

Well, been working on and off for three years on a 1973 Plymouth Duster, slant 6. After so long of trying to troubleshoot on my own, found an article about some problems I'm having and found this was a hell of a resource mine. Thanks in advance for all the help!
