Mock this thing up on your block and see if the intake lines up with the ports. From the placement of your gasket in the last picture it appears the intake will line up correctly with the ports. If so, you can probably fix this by plugging the original holes with bolts, cut them off flush, then...

Curious..have you considered a late 89-91 360 magnum block with oiling holes ? I read differing opinions as the whether they are better castings. I had an early 71 360 block stashed away at a friends place but he let another buddy use it .
