68340fish love your car great start.
My Plan is to make the car 1/2 street 1/2 track. We are trying to go in the 12's. I am putting togeather a 360 stock stroke. 727 with a tf2 shift kit and an 8.75 with 3.91's
That and the weather just snapped and got real cold and my whole house got sick.
Sorry for the long delay, I am putting a 79 Ford F-250 back together to sell for more cash for the car. The truck isn't going to be expensive but a lot of TLC. I should be back on the car very soon.
I have a 340 cover and can get a 340 water pump. The motor is not built yet. I am after the cheapest way without throwing money away on something I will need to replace later.
Will the 340 cover work on the 360 and is the inlet on the drivers side of the cover?
Wow that was a lot of work, thank you. I dont have the original radiator or any radiator, LOL, so im starting form scratch. Thank you for all the work you did for me. I will definitely find one in one of those.
There is another outfit on ebay called Champion Cooling Systems that has some radiators that fit a 68 with the electric fan built on for about $234. ITs more than I wanted to pay but it has a electric fan on it and I am liking that.
I would like that please do. I had a source but I would still need to fab something to make it work. My problem is I am putting a 360 in so I need the lower side on the passenger side of the radiator and the upper on the drivers side. I am having a tough time finding something. I would...
I like the sound of that, im putting together a 360 and aiming for the 12's. It made me nervous to here the other numbers. But like I said, Im new to the putting together a track engine. Thank you.
not bashing the car or anything like that, I'm just not that good at this but I would have thought at sea level with that setup it would be closer to the 12's. Maybe someone should school me. LOL
He said the heads have been milled to raise the compression. Now its starting to get real confusing. If he was to mill the heads anyways why not run the 360 heads? Oh well I think I will just run my J heads on that block.
well this is the casting number off the block, 4006830-360-6, I cannot find this on the web page you posted. I have not seen a number like this one. Whats the deal with that number?
