I’ve used DSS pistons also and they measured as good or better than most pistons Ive used. The Mahle motorsports forged pistons were the nicest I’ve ever measured

Update: All fixed. Thank you to those who answered my original question regarding the vent tube and gas cap. I used the wix filter as planned, but ran a new return line. That took care of my vapor problem as expected.

Tom at Scat will recommend the best elastomer damper you can afford. That’s what he said when I talked to him. I used an ATI super damper on my scat forged BBC twin turbo deal and he was happy with it.
