A body with an A833 and a Gear Vendor installed

Got it. So what did Brewers say that would fix the issue? I can understand being frustrated but I haven't had to deal with any issues and still see the OD gearset as an option. Yeah .80 isn't a great OD ratio but I am still willing to possibly keep it open as an alternative to modifying the...

    Your first mopar...?

I bought my first car in May 1968. I was a senior in High School. I saved up for it from working in a grocery store for 2 years. I paid $600 for a 64 Plymouth Savoy 2 door post. It was an Ex Highway patrol car with 383, Automatic, PS, PB and AC. No pictures. This started and fueled my Mopar passion.

    My 340 getting 6 mpg

So I'll chime in on carb choice. The carb you have has mechanical secondaries. When you floor it the secondaries are wide open no matter what, plus a double shot from the accelerator pumps (they did that to cover the massive sudden vacuum drop in the carb). You could use a Holley with vacuum...

rocker shafts installed backwards... long read. but pics!

You want the oiling holes facing down towards the springs. Notch or no notch. Not having them the right way will wear the rocker, shafts, stems more than necessary. Remember... of they were to point straight down.. yoy could put them on anyway ya wanted. They point down towards the springs.

Real Estate agents....can u explain land transfer tax?

Here in the lower mainland, $700k will buy you a 525sq ft condo. Annual property taxes of $2k. Monthly maintenance fee of $350. Property transfer tax on that $700k is 2%. That 2% goes to $2M at which point it’s 3% over $2M. You want a house? Double that and it will get you an 80 year, 2k sq...

rocker shafts installed backwards... long read. but pics!

Yup. Backwards. Notch on the passenger side down and to the rear, notch on the driver side down and to the front. The important thing is to make sure the small oiling holes point down and toward the valve springs, because sometimes, the shafts don't have notches or anything. It's all covered in...

I saw my first Tesla truck today.

I just looked, and evidently the body on those trucks is made from stainless steel. IF Tesla advertised them as "Made with Stainless steel, so your body will never rust", then Tesla could be looking at a massive class action lawsuit. If they were smart enough to just say, "The body is made from...

    Oil dipstick full mark

MP dipsticks come as a matched set with tube and stick. OP is absolutely correct that the distance out of the block is the operative question as the level of oil below the crank is the issue. But with unknown parts sources it is possible to have a mismatched tube and stick, and yes tube length...

I have heard that EVs take a much bigger depreciation hit than gas vehicles. I wonder what the real numbers are.

1970 Coronet 4 door, FE5 with black interior that I bought in 1983 at age 11. Paid a whopping 20 dollars for it with no transmission and the 318 laying in the trunk. Oil dipstick full mark

I compared the new and the old dipstick today and noticed that they are essentially identical. Looks like I didn't measure it correctly the first time around. At least I know now that I'm in the ballpark and not an inch and a half off. I will check again when I change the oil. Oil filter is a...

...doesn't miss or break up at rpm. Tech sat its beginning to flat and cant control the cylinder pressure. I'm looking for a dual spring with 1.800 installed 360 -375# open pressure. Along with retainers for 11/32 valve with 10* keepers. Hughes has a spring from Pac but the retainers say +.100.
