When I was a kid, I had an Eldon road race set, old man bought lots of extra track the transformer didn’t have enough grunt to run cars properly. He worked for the telephone company. They had huge 12v batteries Excide I think, the Eldon cars ran on 12v they were glass and about a foot square and...

Red Oxide primer surfacer for the accent color. Then have the paint mixing guys mix you up a match to your blue in Basecoat only... no clearcoat for the old original look. Easy to paint that too. ☆☆☆☆☆

    340 Head gasket

If your running a KB pistons they should be above the deck, by at least .012 maybe more. i would think anything less .040 is a little to tight.

    What gets a car moving?

The best description I have heard: someone asked Marian Davis in the ask anything column at hot rod or something like that a similar question: What would you prefer, and engine that makes 100hp and 200 Lb.Ft, or an engine that makes 200HP and 100 Lb.Ft? His answer was something to the effect...

here's a thread for quick reference: https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/add-your-abody-driveshaft-length-for-quick-reference.139090/ the correct and bestest way to do it is to measure with the new rear end installed and talk to the driveline shop doing the work and ask them how they...

    Help! No power!

I have a 67 Valiant with a newer steering column (has the key in it) and it also has an amp meter and a volt meter. I have owned the car for nearly two years but I rarely drive it. I went to drive it the other day, after installing a small Holley Fuel Pump on it. After I wired it up (I wired the...

    340 dual point??

Yep. But the funny thing is some restorers want only certain things correct and not others. Like the correct paint overspray but not the correct distributor or wipers. Makes me scratch my head, but that's their preferences. I'd be interested in the 273 dual point just because I want to run...

    Another 318 set up

The Best analogy I can think to explain my point of view, is electrical so watts = hp, amps = torque and volts = rpm. So your buying an amplifier for a stereo and to be able to reach a certain loudness , Watts how much power the amp makes would be you main concern for it’s ability for loudness...

    340 dual point??

My "71" 340 Duster, 4 speed, had a cast iron dual point distributor. It was still breaking into the 13's with 100,000 miles on it. Factory intake, TQ, and dual point distributor. I'm not afraid of points. But I have moved to electronic ignition, chrome box, Taylor Spiro Pro wires, and...

    340 dual point??

With the distributor in the rear on a small block, nothing but a pain to check points and worse if it is 2 sets.

    7 1/4 to 8 3/4 Newb Questions

I got lucky today, I found an a body 8 3/4 rear from a 71 Dart pretty local to me at a fair price. My cars a 67 Dart GT, was orignally a slant car that a previous owner swapped a 273 into. Everything else seems to be original. The 7 1/4 is humming and leaking and I want to swap it out. I'm...
