    Need help degreeing a cam

I degreed in my cam a couple weeks ago and found the intake centerline at 107.5 degrees instead of 110, so I ordered a 2* offset cam key from mr.gasket (987g) to bring it closer to 110 ICL. Since 2* at the cam = 4* at the crank, is this offset cam key bring me to 111.5 ICL or will it move it a...

    OEM magnum lifters setup

Is it normal for the stock OEM magnum lifters to bleed down at rest? I did not start the engine yet, just primed it with a drill. It takes up the lash with oil pressure but after 2 minutes the stock pedestal rockers are loose. I checked no.1 intake valve it takes almost half a turn to get the...

    Cam installation

I just degreed my new comp cam p/n 20-746-9 and found the intake centerline to be around 107.5. This cam should be installed at 110. Should I retard it to 111.5 using the other keyway in the crank sprocket (I have a comp double roller timing chain with the adjustable keyways +4 and -4) or leave...

    Main cap studs

May sound like a stupid question but: do you hold the stud when torquing down the nut for the main cap using arp studs? In the instructions they say to install the studs hand tight only but would'nt it turn while torquing the nut?

    Connecting rod bearing

Just got my crank back from the machine shop and he sold me bearings to go with it. The OEM bearing had a hole on one side for the connection rod, the Clevite CB481P does not. Do I have to file a hole in the new bearings?

    Magnum vs LA head gaskets

Any differences? I'd like to use thin head gaskets to give better quench on my 360 magnum and raise the compression at the same time. MP has the P4120094 gasket 0.024-0.028 thickness. Would that fit? Also does it make a difference using RHS heads?

RHS X heads removed from RHS website

    What's up with that?

    360 magnum budget build

I'm in the process of rebuilding my 360 magnum. I had low oil pressure when hot since I got it and after 300 miles I busted a connecting rod bearing... My plan is to get the crank turned and keep the stock pistons (the bores look like new, no ridge!) I removed the cam and one of the bearing is...
