Where Are All The Pre 2010 Members

I joined back when I had my 68 Formula S with a 416. I sold it (really wish I hadn't) a few years ago. I picked up a 71 Duster twister this spring so I plan to spend more time on here. Saving up for my build right now.

    Convert to manual

I ended up buying it. Yes it did look a little crusty but the bushings seem intact and the pedals rotate nice. All the switches are there and the brackets. I don't find stuff like this 1/2 hour from my home so I didn't want to pass it up.

    Convert to manual

Sorry the seller does state it is an A body pedal set but I don't have the experience to take his word for it. I only owned one other a body with a clutch pedal and it was never removed so I couldn't tell from looking at it.

    Convert to manual

I have a 1971 Duster Twister with 318, 904 and 7 1/4. I want to go stroker small block, manual trans and 8 3/4. I have acquired an 8 3/4 housing. This car is to have fun not make pretty. I have the opportunity to buy a manual pedal set locally. Can you help me identify it as A body? Is $250...

    Back in a body

I don't know why it took so long to get back in a Duster but it finally happened last week. I had the brown (originally orange) 1970 340 Duster in 1988 until I started college in 1991. I then bought the red 1968 Formula S Barracuda and built a 416 stroker for it. I had it 2004 to 2015 Now I have...

    New barn

I don't and no insulation under pad. Wicked cold January and my last gas bill was $50(barn is on separate bill). Spray foam insulation and about a 60K BTU home furnace. I always leave it 65 or so 24/7. That way the pad helps as a large thermal mass. I think turning it down then up when you want...

[FOR SALE] Early 340 intake and exhaust manifolds and valve covers

I have an intake manifold #2531915 (the 9 is backwards?) dated Aug 15 1967. Exhaust manifolds 2863553 August 18 67 and 2863549 August 07 1967. I also have a set of valve covers. These came with my 1968 Formula 340S built Sept 1967 I sold a while back. I would like to sell these together. I am...

    Going to try auction tomorrow

East of Mt. Pleasant MI about 25 miles. It sold for $14750. I do think it was worth more being a California Formula S with all original rust free. I had receipts for about $10K in a no expense spared 416 build as well. I tried to sell it for 3 years or so without really enjoying it anymore so I...

Well let it go for $250 under my reserve. I am good with that. Hopefully you will have a new member soon and I can follow along.

    Going to try auction tomorrow

I have been half assed trying to sell my Barracuda the last couple of years. I have had it 13 years and really enjoyed it when I had a passion of working on it. The last couple of years as my son gets a bit older and family stuff takes precedence it tends to not get used very much. Tomorrow I...

Looking at D150 terrible spark knock

Definitely leaning towards buying it. A good price will help me justify any work I need to do. Just to disclose everything he is asking $3000 for an 84 D150 with nice body and interior. One solid color on American Racing 15" turbine style wheels. Everything works but the radio. I am thinking...

Looking at D150 terrible spark knock

I have a decent LA 318 sitting on an engine stand right now. I just don't want another project. I really don't want to spend more than a Saturday afternoon on it.

Looking at D150 terrible spark knock

I assume the EGR nipple would have caused a lean condition because of vacuum leak? I am sick. I want to buy this truck just to mess with it and see if I can fix it!

Looking at D150 terrible spark knock

He said he had played with the timing and better gas in the past and it acted the same. Hard to diagnose with a 10 minute test drive and his recollection of what he tried.

Looking at D150 terrible spark knock

I am looking for a D100 or D150 long bed truck as a personal work truck. I looked at a 1984 D150 tonight that has no rust (rare here) 318 motor was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago and 15 years ago. He said flat tops and built by a shop with receipts to be 9:1. He also said the heads were decked and...

Would you take the Buick, or the Caddy?

They were called Dagmars for a reason.

Would you take the Buick, or the Caddy?

Either car before they were made into these. There are awesome cab forward style 50's trucks that would look so much better made into these.

    Which engine?

Judging by your avatar I would assume you would like 408 the best. Less $ for classic bump and rumble and smoke the tires fun.

1968 Formula S...modify it beyond return?

Alright, thanks for pulling me out of the early 2000's Barrett Jackson mindset that every car is rare worth $$$$. It is not a crime to modify something that may be slightly more than normal but not original or rare,

1968 Formula S...modify it beyond return?

I have a 1968 Formula 340 S from California. Original engine is long gone. I have been running it with a 1970 block 416 last 5 summers. Car is great but I am ready to take it to next level. Do you guys think it matters if I add sub frame connectors and mini tubs to this car? It is kind of a rare...

    Oil Change Instructions...Men Vs Women...

Oil change for me....I know it is a newer car that tells you when to change your oil but I know 5000 miles is enough regardless of how it has been driven. Most of my vehicles are driven here or there <1000 miles a year so once a year oil changes. My wife the vehicle still says 10% left. I know...
