    PCV oil seperator

Just finished this today, I built it from a 2nd hand store cookie maker, two stainless steel scouring pads, two brass 5/16 hose barb adapters, and a radiator drain valve, total cost, less than 10 bucks! this will keep oil out of the intake manifold, & who knows I might even be able to run a...

    Any Sport bike riders here?

I've been wanting a bike for some time now, & with the economy still in the toilet, motorcycles aren't selling, so it's time to buy. Harleys & cruisers are not my thing, so bear with me. I've done a fair amount of research & I've narrowed my choice down to the Suzuki GSXR 600 & The Yamaha R6...

    Edelbrock valve springs

I've got a Lunatti cam #60303, (268 dur. 494 lift) and Edelbrock RPM cyl. heads, the car has trouble pulling past 5500 rpm, I'm pretty sure my ignition problems are solved, I'm wondering if it might be the springs on these heads, .(Lunatti says the cam is good to 6200 RPM)

    Towing to the track

Last weekend I borrowed a friends truck to tow my Duster to the track (approx 130 miles round trip) It's a 94 chev 4X4 with a 350 & auto. with my Duster on a U-haul car trailer, this thing was really struggling, & could do no better than 8 mpg. driving 60-65 mph. Anyway, I need to find a good...

First test & tune street 440 Duster

Finally got the Duster to the track last night. '60 ft times were ok, untill I lowered the pressure in the M/T drag radials. best 60 ft (1.77) was with 30 psi) I went down to 27 & they would spin, (1.8-2.0) I'm running a stock converter, so I'm guessing that held me back some, plus the factory...

Crate motors, Are you &%$ kidding me??

I was thumbing through my latest Jegs catalog yesterday & had to do a double take on the price of the Mopar Performance small block crate engines. Over ten thousand dollars for a 360 long block??? And that was the CHEAP one! What the hell are they smoking over at Chrysler?

    Subframe connectors?

I'm planning on taking my Duster to the track this summer ( Edelbrock head 440, 727 & 3.91s) The cars pulls way harder than my 12.20 sec. small block Scamp, So I'm hoping for super low 12s or high 11s, So my question is, At what performance level do subframe connectors become neccessary ? the...

    Anyone running M/T ET streets

I think I've got all the bugs worked out on my Duster (440,727,3.91s) & I'm shopping for some street legal tires that will work at the dragstrip. Are the ET street radials by M/T any good ? are there better choices? Thanks!

    New car

Well, I wasn't planning on replacing my beat up 10 year old Mustang till Sept. But the local Dodge dealership was practically giving away their 2012 SXT Calibers. $14,995 minus my trade, I only financed $11,300.(sticker was $19,995) They had silver, & white, but I thought they looked best in black.

A good buddy of mine has a 78 F-150, he left his lights on & killed the battery. he tried to jump start it in the dark & got the cables reversed. this smoked his fusable link. He's replaced it twice & it burns out the second he hits the key. any ideas???? battery? alternator? I have the...

    Pulling the oil pan?

Ok, I've noticed that when I go w.o.t in 1st or 2nd gear my oil pressure drops dramatically. I figure the oil is sloshing to the rear of the pan & uncovering the oil pickup, (I tested this theory by accelerating on a down hill grade & oil pressure climbs & remains stable) anyway I figure I need...

    Started & broke in !

I broke in the cam on my 440 Duster build today ! After getting the engine static timed, The oil & fuel primed, it fired almost instantly ! Brought her up to 2200 rpm, & held it there for 20 min. with an occasional rev to 3500. It got a little warm, but temp was brought down by soaking the...

    Static timing fresh 440

Ok, I'm real close to firing off the new 440 in my Duster, & I may or may not have any "help" when the time comes, instead of fumbling around with a timing light when the engine first fires, can I "static" time it close enough for cam break in ? From what I understand, with the engine at tdc on...

    Eddy spark plug recomendations

I haven't bought spark plugs for my Duster 440) yet, Edelbrock calls for small block plugs. What brand & part # (for those who have the Edelbrock heads) are you using ???? I've got the 84cc heads & 10.3 to 1 compression, if that makes any difference.

    440 Engine install

My 727 will be ready in a few days, so I'll be ready to start bolting this thing together, (74 Duster) I have 1 question; What is the most hassle free way to go about this (I've installed plenty of small blocks in A- bodies) but never a 440) is it easier to put the transmission in first ? or the...

    Traded in my Mustang

I saw this in the paper & went to take it for a drive, a couple hours later I was handing over the keys to my 02 Mustang GT 5-M , The Magnum doesn't handle, stop or accelerate like the GT, but it's a LOT easier on my back getting the kiddos in & out, plus it can haul a ton of stuff, & with the...

    Polished Big Block Valve Covers

1 set of polished aluminum Mopar Performance valve covers. I had these on my car for about 1000 miles. I think I paid $140 for them.they are in perfect shape. Will sell for $85. or would prefer to trade for equally nice "Go Wing" . I'm guessing, but shipping should be around $15-$20 .

    Valve cover options

Ok, From what I understand, my polished Mopar Performance valve covers will not clear the factory heater motor in my 74 Duster.( I'm using the Schumacher mounts on a 440) I wouldn't be against grinding down a few fins, but I don't want to get into cutting & welding them. So what are my other...

    Cheap HEMI orange paint !

Ok, for those of you who are a tight budget (like me) I've found a great way to save a few bucks. As many of you do, I dread painting my engines with the HEMI orange paint you get from Mopar, It's expensive, it goes on like water , it takes FOREVER to dry, and takes 30 cans to shoot one engine...
