    Refinish/paint PVC seat backs

I used SEM adhesion promoter and color coat on a console and kick panels and they came out perfect. Just make sure the plastic is very clean and do a bunch of light coats. If you try to go medium/heavy on your coats, you might wind up with some areas that look glossier than others. I did about...

    Sealed Beam Headlights

They don't seem like such a big deal until you're driving one of our cars with no tint and all the sudden every car behind you feels like a UFO abduction.

    Radio antenna

I wouldn't move it if it were me. I'd rather come up with a different way to listen to music, like a hidden bluetooth receiver, than drill a large hole in a spot where it doesn't belong on one of these cars. First try grounding the antenna. Run some temporary alligator clip leads from the...

    Radio antenna

I would think that you'd have issues with your antenna working well with fiberglass fenders. Antennas like a large, flat, smooth ground plane to operate at their peak. Fortunately for us, we're only receiving and not transmitting so you really don't need your antenna operating at its peak to be...

How long did it take you to rebuild your

Unless you just don't want to do it, I wouldn't pay anyone to do this job. It's not difficult and doesn't require any special skills. It takes some time if you want to ensure everything is clean and nice when you put it back in but if I was going to pay someone to do a 4-5 hour job, it would be...

WHERE DID U PUT UR AFTERMARKET STEREO & SPEAKERS

Just remember when it comes to modern stereo anything being visible in a classic car.....it'll look completely out of date in 5-10 years. My preference is to have everything hidden or at least only hack into things that are easily fixed. You'd be surprised at how good a cheap bluetooth...

    trunk spare tire well

I cosign with the above. Welding in a spare tire well is a lot of work for a second rate looking job when you're done. You might pay a couple hundred extra for the whole floor but the amount of time it takes to install it will be hours and hours less, while it will look a million times better.

Classic Auto Air in 67 Barracuda Factory Non AC

Thanks my radio didn't work anyway so I didn't feel too bad about cutting out the back corner of it. I needed a good inch and a half clearance.

Classic Auto Air in 67 Barracuda Factory Non AC

Has anyone had trouble installing the factory radio in with the Classic Auto Air box being in the way? The thumbwheel radio on my 68 Barracuda has zero chance of fitting in there.

AM radio to Bluetooth.. or other ideas.

I attempted this with a thumbwheel radio and couldn't get it to work. The little nylon gears for the thumbwheels just weren't quite strong enough to turn the knob on the bluetooth module consistently. It's definitely a doable job for a knob radio like the one you've got.

    [Found!] Firewall wire clip

Does anyone have one of these wire clips that clip onto the pinch weld on the firewall? I believe they may be a 67-68 only type deal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Help with Heater & AC Control Assembly

Yeah I'm not sure what you're talking about here but there's no dial. The CAA kit has you swap out the fan switch for their switch and then it has you modify and hook up the potentiometer sliding mechanisms to the mode lever and temp lever. I've only ever seen dial controllers on aftermarket...

    1968 barracuda starter cable issues

It looks like the 68 Valiant schematic is wired the way you describe. Only thing that seems off is the second battery cable sized wire connecting the starter solenoid to the starter. That's really just an internal connection.

A MOUNTAIN OR A MOLE HILL...........

They've been destroying my nice yard too. I've been battling them back with these. I bought a few sets before inflation damn near doubled the price of them. They do the trick but you really need to lay out more than one or two to ensure you catch them.

I got one of the handheld borescopes off Amazon a couple years back for cheap. Did the job just fine.

    Hood light?

I just did my engine bay. Ohm'd everything from the bulkhead connector on out. Printed out a schematic and made my own edits to it since there's a few circuits there that have been modified or added due to an AC install, electronic ignition etc.

    Por-15 on roof

Whatever option you choose, just don't attempt to encapsulate the tiny rust pits on your roof with any type of paint product. Use whatever type of gel/liquid rust remover to ensure you have clean metal and then epoxy over that. Too much time, work and money is involved with a vinyl top car to...

Classic Auto Air Belt alignment fix

Any idea what application the 4 groove pulley you used was from? I don't have any in my spares and I'd hate to play the guessing game with buying online if there's like 57 different 4 groove pulleys out there.

Classic Auto Air Belt alignment fix

It took forever for me to get everything lined up with one belt. Just dropped the engine in so it'll probably be another month or so before I start her up. Not looking forward to having to redo all that work if the single belt slips. Really appreciate the write up. Have this bookmarked for...

    POWDER COATING COST

It's a paint but yeah I've had parts outside in partial sun and it's still a few days it seems to fully cure. Try testing it out because my memory could be failing me but it's definitely not dry enough for install after 24 hours. I painted my Duster steelies with it and the paint held up a good...

    POWDER COATING COST

Same, I've been using this stuff for years. It doesn't lay down the smoothest but it's the next toughest thing I've found next to powder coating. You're right about it drying. I feel like it takes a good 5 days to really fully cure but once it does, it's rock hard.

    Repainting

Always follow the manufactures recommendations. I don't know if you're going to get a whole lot of details from them on rattle can paint though. Priming first is a must. Are you repainting it black? I'd probably wet sand with 600 to ensure I'm not getting sand scratches.
